You know... this world sort of seems post apocalyptic... devolved humans, mutant priests, robots and evolved lizards... only this is so far after the apocalypse that life has begun again. Just something to think about.
The game itself is awesome, one of the best games I've played in a while. Fully customizable characters, fun gameplay, insane idea, wonderful execution, pretty much awesome all around. The fact you can't save does such, but the game as a whole is pretty darn good.
Guys, you don't need to say its too short, it's all over the top comments. Say something which might actually help the dev instead of repeating what everyone's already said.
(part 3)It makes me replay challenges over and over again just because I made a single mistake. You crash once? Start over. You miss a jump? Start over. You so much as do ONE thing wrong? Start. Over. Newer players will have no idea what I'm talking about. They'll think its too easy. Well, get fifty or sixty unlockables instead you'll see what it's really like. All in all, this game is bad. It's not trash, but it has the worst difficulty I've seen in a while, a lack of speed IN A RACING GAME, and overall was unenjoyable... On the plus side, it had a nice bunch of characters and it was fun to explore around. I say that because I feel obliged to say SOMETHING nice about the game. 2/5.
(part 2) Instead, this game focused more on unfair deaths, bad level design and not enabling me to go faster. This game taught me not to judge a book by its cover. At first glance this game is a 5/5, game of the month, game of the year. But when you really dig into it you realize that it's not nearly as good as it appears. Yeah, it has nice graphics and aesthetics, but those are completely ripped apart by its unfair gameplay. Cyclomaniacs is frustrating. It's tiring. It's tedious.
(part 1)Okay,I've been playing for a while and I have to say that this game is bad. Yes, it starts off very fun, but soon falls into the pit of terribleness. Now before you go and downvote this into oblivion, let me state my points: Firstly, most of the later tracks were bumpy as hell. You couldn't go fast because every second there was a tiny bump in the road. Did you forget what made racing games fun? SPEEED! I WANT TO GO FAST!
A quick way to get easy money in the beginning is to open the cupboard in the upgrades screen for 200$, which will help you get ahead for the first 2 or 3 races.
Tips: Inside the bomb always do a full power shot into the nearest opening for your best chance, while in the water stages never do full power unless the lily pad has a wall in the direction you're aiming because the ball skips, if you're going to go out of your way to get a rainbow piece make sure it's 2 or 3 pieces for 1 shot, otherwise it's not worth it, and a huge tip is that if you're hopelessly over the par spend all of your time getting the rainbows because then you can at least net 5000 points. When on Stonehenge always do full power because you're going to use a stroke no matter what, don't be afraid to restart the game if you know you're not going to get 145000, try to aim for 8000points per hole, if you get under don't be discouraged because you can make up for it with a hole in one, +1 if helped, got the badge this way.
Yeah, I get it's an art game, but art game's should still be fun to play. Think about it: the best art games are the one's where the story blend seamlessly with the gameplay.
I get that it's an art game, but let me tell you something: the gameplay is boring. You need to add obstacles to spice up combat. Don't want your character to be able to be harmed? Then even adding something like a log falling and blocking your path is a great way to spice up gameplay. Because honestly, it was boring and painful going all around the levels and collecting these things. One more thing: LABELING YOURSELF AS AN ART GAME DOES NOT MAKE IT OKAY TO HAVE BORING REPETITIVE GAMEPLAY! IT'S STILL A GAME!
To me it failed at being artsy. Yeah, you put a clock in the background, so what? It wasn't really moving at all, the choices you made didn't do much, and weren't that important, it was an all around ehhh experience for me.
Thanks i appreciate that. We knew it was too short when we made it but ran out of dev cash. 8)
