Just started playing and this seems pretty interesting so far. I just wish I could either slow down or stop combat so I can figure out what is going on.
oh, also it would be nice if I could choose weapons before I pick them up. Often times the cluster together so I just get something random (and normally unwanted)
Overall this feels like an okay smash bros. style fighting game however something things do cause a bit of gameplay problems. The biggest issue by far is that there is no way to fall through platforms (which makes getting needed items difficult), another issue is that the holes sort of blend in with the level and the edges don't protect against accidental falls (such as blocking movement on the edge during attacks). if you could fix those two issues I would definitely enjoy this much more. Also maybe consider adding some Regen since it seems to come down to who kills who first.
um, I accidentally cheated. Right clicked to restart the game because I was losing and there is no menu, clicked play and got the medium badge. It didn't look too hard to get, but I feel kind of like a jerk now.
I can't really decide if I like or hate this game... It seems a lot like a simplified version of Strike Force Heroes (which neither a bad not good thing) but I am really bothered that I have to stop to shoot. I guess it is because ranged classes are a bit overpowered and most games can be won by picking a side of the map and holding down the shoot button at the other side. I'm also a bit disappointed that the story completely disappears around level 2 or 3. However the only change this game really needs is to the defense AI (often they just sit there and let people shoot them without countering). If you could fix this I would definitely enjoy capture the flag more.
A bit of constructive criticism for you. A few more levels would have been nice as well as levels ordered in difficulty (yes I know it would kind of butcher the delivery of your message, but if you could find a way without going against your message it would appreciate it). While you suggest at the end of the game that people should replay to complete things in as few steps as possible there really is no local 'high score' table, so it's hard to tell if you are improving or not. Maybe some interesting obstacles related to the subject matter could also spice up some of the blandness (such as parents or other people, jealousy, misplaced lust, etc. Naturally they should cause some sort of penalty that can be circumvented with a varying amount of effort.) Overall in its current state, I guess good on you for making a game with a message but the later levels are too boring. 2/5, I hate to do it especially because my brother is gay, but I like a bit more challenge in my games, sorry.
Yeah man, I wanted to keep it short since it was narrative based - didn't want to make it too hard or long for people to finish (hur hur hur). Eventually I wanna release a mobile version with more levels. Too bad the game didn't agree with you, but whatever, once again thanks for playing+rating+commenting anyhow!
As a game, I feel this is kind of lacking. I realize the idea was to explain your feelings toward the topic (which is totally fine) but the lack of challenge in the last few levels cause me to lose interest. As far as the slightly controversial topic, I prefer to think love is like soda. Some people like only one flavor, some prefer diet and caffeine free brands, some people like flavors that seem disturbing to others (specially Moxie), and then there are people who don't like any flavor or unwilling to indulge in it.
Well, I really wanted to like this, but I am completely disappointed. The thing that bugged me most about this the unit AI acts like a whiny little girl when not set to automove. If they are on their way to attack a unit which has died they completely stop moving preventing me from reinforcing squads (to fix this please just make them go to the place where the unit died). Additionally, if a large group is sent to attack a dangerous enemy, they like to split into a small group (usually being snipers) and a large group (fodder units). The small group likes to attack first and close range resulting in instant death, and my large group likes to find the nearest choke point so they can proceed to die in single file. When enroute to a target they also like to visit nearby enemy turrets or snipers and actively decide not to defend themselves .In its current state I can't seem to find any pleasure here as my soldiers are abusively stupid, I look forward to an update but until then, no sale.
It's not bad, really more of the same as far as the nerdook games normally go. The only problem I can find is that destroying the enemy castle is practically impossible as the enemy units respawn quickly and in the way (and if you finish them off the game ends)
Is it possible to get all upgrades and heroes? I played this game long ago before they were added, so unless new levels were added too, I have the feeling I must decided between the two.
Mission 6 is kind of a pain. It seems that hits usually don't register on the body guard so expect to fail a lot. I eventually got him by aiming at where I assume his nose would be (not the center but the edge closest to the car) and got him after about 5 shots. on the bright side he has nerves of steel and doesn't get alarmed by this.
This is pretty fun, I only have two major complaints that are easy to fix. The ability to not run backwards (to pick up antidotes or health that are hard to reach) causes a lot of frustration, the fix to this is quite obvious. Also the fact that I am required to do the car bonuses irritates me beyond belief. In general I would really like to skip the bonus simply because an antidote always spawns near the car and since the game makes me auto run to the car I narrowly miss the antidote and have to replay the level 2 to 3 times until a more fair spawn appears. In all, the game is still worth playing, but it could really use those two game play fixes.
It would be nice if there were more puzzles, especially some easy ones to warm up with. Maybe I am just not good at this type of puzzle, but it seems that there usually is not enough information where you can find the solution without cheating (looking at solution before hand or using the check puzzle button)
Not bad, I kind of prefer burrito bison, but this is good in it's own way. Also the boss fight was very well done. Although I agree about diving to save the princesses, that just seems really natural to me and was what I tried to do the first few times I played.
It was pretty fun. I'm pretty sure the Ice clan is best because they can freeze their opponents so they can't block in coming attacks, but I tried the Great Wave clan (basically they just stall until they can use combined attack which works well with their +5 to both defense spell, and absorb damage if the enemy has some rediculously powerful combined attack coming in.)
definitely feels like kingdom rush (a good thing.) The only issues I can find is so far is not being able to figure out why there is some sort of animal claw between loading screens, and the random magic thing. Besides that it might be nice to have a slow firing high damage unit like the dwarfs. Overall I really enjoy this.
It's a pretty simple game and is kind of fun. The only negative things I can really say is that there is just too much going on at once (yes I know I could just not do something things) and I really have no idea what I should be doing other than making money for some reason. This feels more like a developer sandbox for testing future game ideas than anything else.
Yeah, that sounds about right. This game is something I use to test my game development skill – like, putting small stuff I made together into a big thing. Though, most people seem to enjoy that so I'll take it as an accomplishment and try my best to turn this into a better "game".
really not a big fan of how random everything is. It seems I am never allowed to level up my big gun skill (at least it was never an option before level 11 even though I got a bunch of them from random drops.) The chickens either just fart around harmlessly or spam eggs at me, and even when aiming at a stationary target there seems to be a good chance my rifle will just randomly miss. I'm also not a big fan of the fact that my helpers refuse to target the more threatening enemies (such as the suicide bombers)
Not bad, the game was pretty good but felt lacking in a few areas. I was kind of annoyed by the same things as most people. Couldn't play as zombies, no free play maps, can't retreat, heroic status and white flag effects not explained, can't tell units exactly what to attack (some times I'd rather they neuter the buildings and take an extra hit or two than have to fight an extra 2 or 3 squads), and the required rush for perfect (not minimize casualties or maximize damage). The game was fun to play overall and most of the flaws are slight and by no means break the game just things to put on a wish list. If you end up making a equal or a multiplayer version I suggest taking care of them, but they are not required fixes by any means.
