Short, a bit tedious (world is too large for the speed at which the robot travels above ground or through tunnels you've made and the *small* storage maximum.) It did entertain me for about 15 minutes though... and OCD made me play for the other 20. Ending was... a let down. "You need to go and get the core." "I can't believe this, you made it!" End game. A twist there at the end would have made it all worthwhile: I suggest something dark and maniacal that leaves women weeping and children screaming and men with a haunted, darting gaze that forever searches for the terror that has them waking up in a cold sweat every night... or maybe a kitty. It is well understood that robots like kitties.
The Cesar and Cleopatra riddle gives +5 for that alone. Well done, well done.
One thing though, in the future, please stop changing the angle of the shot when the game scrolls; it is mighty annoying, arrgh.
I'd kinda like to be able to sit back and admire the pretty colors once I'm done, instead of a bunch of stupid scientists who can't do a simple space-filling algorithm popping up and stealing my work before I get a chance to appreciate it.
More hints and tips: Don't sell cards unless you have more than 4 of that card and then, only sell down to four. This way, even if you don't like your race, you can still make a usable human rush or technowall deck for farming. ][ The AI is pitifully weak against technowalls and even on Legendary will prioritize chaos demons and healers over the TW even if you have 1 HP. ][ Entropic link is fun. ][ A decent human farming deck can be built with minor (~150 credits) investment from any race. Same with a TW deck. ][ Don't lose. ][ If you must lose, lose fast so you can get to a win quicker. ][ After 1000+ games in a week, you gain the ability to play in your sleep and can control the cards with your mind. ][ Or you develop psychosis. ][ Energy generation proceeds from left to right so play ancient converters in the rightmost slots for safety. ][ Faced with an equal 'threat' the AI will pick the leftmost target. ][ Rate the game up; I want badges for the hours I've wasted here.
I couldn't find this on the wiki, perhaps I'm stupid, but in the case others are like me: Cores = +energy per turn, symbol: star ;; Miners = +metal per turn, symbol: gear ;; recruits = +pilots per turn, symbol: helmet
Auto-build is slightly counter intuitive: it builds the max with resources available rather than waiting for the resources to become available to build the last ship type... So after a couple of ships, we end up with vastly different ships than what was intended.
Hints and tips:
1) For deck ideas, go play Hidden Dimensions (the first one). It is essentially a giant sandbox.
2) Read the guide and wiki. They do help!
3) Ca'anian, Rivi'i, Human, and Xyloxi are good newbie races. Technos are slow but steady winners. Mith'ri'aeil are good but have some definite weaknesses in storyline mode.
4) If you picked a race you don't like, farm easy AIs using a technowall(TW) deck (e.g. V0K7ihg94hgBCmVsBSnFvC2p9CEKzadEWzWjGiGcDT8000 ) Strategy: Play TW, Virus Barrier, and 1 other ship. Heal technowall. Win.
5) All races can play a prismatic deck.
Although, come to think of it, wouldn't Nick have been a better choice? Or Hashi? Angus was much more the lone mongrel dog type. Still, brings back memories.
Also, stop trying to jump from the ledge in the center of the map with the jump orb to the snowy white ledge on the right (above the fragment.) You can't make it, even with all the jump orbs. Stop trying and find another way.

The final boss lair is the lowest right hand room.
Having all power-ups is not necessary for the achievements or to beat the final boss. Just get them as you see them. Come back for the ones in the center of the map after you've got the Orange key; if you've gotten all the other power ups on the way, you should have little problem getting the ones you couldn't before. Jump from near the 'top of the world' to get that jump powerup in the center with ease.
No-map bug workaround: If you happen to lose your map, reload the game, then hit continue once it is back. Hopefully, your map will be back to normal (at least, this works for me.) DO NOT exit to menu and hit continue and don't try going to a save point first. Doing so bugs my map permanently. Hope this helps until Arkeus gets it fixed.
If you do *Not* have AMD/ATI of any kind in your comp, and you still got the no-map bug/unable to load savegame, plus this.
If you have AMD/ATI drivers from catalyst 11.1 or higher AND you got the no-map bug / unable to load, plus this.
To reproduce map bug (in affected systems): Start new game (or continue old one), find a save point, exit to menu, click continue, look at map.
