I fixed many of the small glitches/bugs/inconsistencies mentioned in all of your posts so far. Thanks a lot for the feedback and enjoy.
Also, some may notice that the Life talents cost more focus now, which is an attempt to even out the forms a little.
Don't fret. The game is still fairly casual (beating it would be like a medium badge I'd say). For those of you trying to kick your entangler addictions, the Strike Blade is definitely the most underrated talent. It's one of my favorites, and it sort of hits like a huge crossbow bolt, for all of you crossbow connoisseurs (Is that how you spell it azerty folks?).
For lefties, I suggest using the alternate key layout that I made for AZERTY users. It's further right on the keyboard, and is functional on any keyboard, not just AZERTYs.
There is in fact an AZERTY keyboard option, which is not in the tutorial, but is explained in the instructions blurb above. It's 5 keys to the right of the original control layout and should resolve most keyboard variant issues.
I'm working on a few issues regarding saving/loading/completing the game and then trying to load. Bear with me, while I figure things out and I'll post a better version some time very soon.
I'm glad to see that people are catching on that this was never meant to be a "shoot em up" type game where all you do is use your guns. The talents are definitely designed to be the Mech-Druid's most powerful tools, and I think they do the coolest stuff. The standard guns are a quick but costly option, since you may find yourself buying ammo with all your skill points.
not sure what the problem is with the imac. I programmed the whole thing on a mac and use firefox, and it works fine. And, I guess its not only for right handed people, since you could use the AZERTY key layout above if you wanted, even on a QWERTY keyboard.
i like it. very good for a first game from this user. one thing I would enable is dragging of the blocks. click to grab/click to drop is good, but i'm not so sure it should override dragging, especially in a game like this one.
I added a mute all sounds option to the pause menu, so you can now listen to your Dr. Dre CDs peacefully, without hearing the game in the background.
I also upped the movement speed "a tad", but if you really need to speed up, you should use DRAGON FORM by pressing 4, or you can increase your permanent base speed by maximizing your agility attribute.
i've gotten a lot of feedback about the AZERTY issue, so I'll be working on that immediately. In the meantime, azerty players can shift over and use UHJK to move, 6 through 9 to shift forms, Y and I to switch weps, and O to reload. (its the same layout on the keyboard as the original, just shifted over 5 keys)
hey everyone. thanks for the comments and helpful advice. this is our first published game, so we are really taking your input seriously. I just uploaded a new version that alleviates the zoom problem, and I'll probably get to most of the other issues throughout the day, so keep the feedback coming, thanks for playing, and please stop back, as things will be cleaning up throughout the day!
