That one boss that is warrior and bard.... that are also immune to stun.... and will constantly stun because its both of those classes special attacks and warrior has stun strike and bard has sleep.... who somehow charge their special 3 times before I've got one bar.... $#&* them.
After about 15 times reloading the page I am finally giving up. I don't know what you put in this game that makes it unable to play but I no longer care to find out.
Anyone else feel like the hero should have been Desmond? he seems to get better stats than Davion. With hit stun being a problem Desmond seems ideal with his 75% avoidance rate. His health bar is also larger than Davions when you consider how much more damage he avoids rather than 22% avoidance. Did the enemy glitch get fixed so you don't auto lose? Dudes mentioned broken invulnerable enemies but each time I see it happen the game counts them as dead. It even happened to the last boss and now I have a screenshot with all four heroes standing with Phantogod while Davion declares victory. Phantogod had 75% health left and we had fought for about 20 secs.
This game is well... bad. I find just a little distracting for the AP to award just over the player. Plus every time it does award AP the game stutters a bit. Nothing says stinging failure like failing a second jump cause you passed the first one.
I like the idea but the execution is less than satisfactory. It seems there are plenty of places to get stuck with no way out. Unfortunately I am neither patient or psychic.
Can an option be added to turn off certain upgrades? I can't get a x20 combo with all the guns and super kill moves the character keeps using. I know I can delete the save but I do enjoy the armor and fire resistance upgrades.
So many best comments to read. I got through a fair amount but never saw it mentioned. DON'T get the health steal ability. 5% was bad enough but it is temporary. For 10 or however many points it costs it just isn't worth it.
This game while meaning to be simple and fun falls flat in some regards. The missions seem totally random and at max combo x12 I had to get 2500 coins total to beat it. The cost for skipping the mission was 2850 so It was literally a Mission that could only be solved by vast wealth. I also started hoarding my shadow cloaks which paid off when the mission was use 5 shadow cloaks. Completing that one would cost 2000. On top of the high upgrade cost for random spawn short term effects and It gets a little weird. The system doesn't quite reward skill so much as it rewards practice. A combo of 500 on a first run prolly wouldn't make the hard badge but the longer you play the easier it gets. Also why put in missions that require the player to go to main menu? Spinning the cat as the example, any player would have their combo capped where plenty of other missions allow for combo increases during runs.
Dang this badge is tough. For rankings like "master smuggler" and "a wealthy retirement awaits" you think the score would be closer to 80 Million. My best so far is only 41 though. Britain needs to stop drinking such expensive tea. Oh well guess I can try again.
A few quick tips to aid those with kingdom rush. Don't use barracks. They are not very good at stopping foes, have no way to hit aerial foes, game mechanics are usually made to hinder ground troops, and anytime you need a stall you can just use reinforce instead. Dwarp towers are great but you only need one in most cases. Archers are bad but falcon ability is so good you can use 1 and put it next to dwarp or mage towers. Archmage towers are where its at with the super damage. If you do use necro tower you only need one at each enemy entrance. The skeletons are awful but can slow foes in the path for all the other towers. Barracks aside feel free to experiment as well and come up with cool tower combos.
This is one of the worst games I have ever seen. I like the idea and you think it would be pretty standard with its gameplay. Well it unfortunately fails to impress me. The biggest problem I have with this game is the recharge timer for if something gets depleted. You sit there and think "Oh, so the penalty for letting something empty is that I can't use it while it recharges". Only to realize a second later that the entire time something is "Recharging" it is actually just sitting there useless. As soon as that timer ends your shield or ray has charged absolutely nothing. I can not stress it enough that if you fire immediately after the ray "Recharged" or get attacked as soon as the shield "Recharged" they are now recharging again from 0%. I suggest getting ray and armor upgrades over shield as when there are enough enemies on screen your shield will be worthless.
An okay game overall. I feel this game is a nice relaxing puzzler. Nothing was ever super hard and there were no mechanics to over complicate the game like one way paths, rotating spike walls or some other nonsense. A nice challenge that played fair. I just hope Ninja pays for all the windows he breaks.
So I started playing again later only to find the saves were gone. I got really far and now I am noticing the game is lagging. Usually only when knights are on the field but that is really bad. It is now near impossible to dodge them. Not to mention the issue with selecting spells. Whenever I hover over the spells they move up and so now I no longer hover on them so they move down over and over till I manage to get it. I think I don't like this game on more than just preference.
On one additional note does anyone else find it odd that the super huge mounted guns/Mechs do the same damage as the tiny weapons the infantry carry? Are the mounted weapons super weak or the infantry super strong?
This game is okay but survival is too brutal. Surround the player with turrets that have a lot of health, quick fire rate and shoot two bullets is practically the death sentence. Rockets are the only weapon that can kill them quick enough but only when precise enough that all three rockets hit. Not to mention the fact that enemies can be off screen and continue to shoot but are now completely untouchable.
Quick note to the developer. If it can be done I would like the option to choose what weapon is chosen for the power-up or possibly the ability to disable it. I value the Pulse gun maxed out for the fact it can consistently kill foes that have just spawned. If you pick up the Gatling/Acid/Flame gun then you lose the ability to effectively kill enemies lower than you. It is hard to avoid the power up and other obstacles at the same time. Even if Gatling/Acid/Flame guns are stronger, I just don't like foes reaching the 75% portion of the screen where they fire projectiles and other stuff.
Quick tips for hard badge. First DO NOT complete all challenges that cause more things to clutter the screen (I did the first two rows). Then you need to at least have access to laser or bosses might start to overwhelm. If it isn't able to be primary then I advise the pulse gun. Make sure those weapons are maxed and max out Health, Pants, Weapon Damage, and Medical Kit. Other upgrades like Ammo Capacity, More Support Items and More Weapons secondary. Get All the activated power ups and play from the beginning for extra keys. When two UFO plus other bosses start to spawn stay above the screen and come down for health and laser pick up. Leap boss starts to teleport due to screen speed and will usually die without touching you and crab boss can't reach up above. I did it at level 32. Any extra upgrades should be icing.
