buckminsterfullerine only gives 1% dodge at level 20, even though the graphic for it makes it look like it will give 2 or 3 at least. pretty sure that's a bug, because otherwise that makes it equivalent to talc.
heal spell is actually not that useful, given the cost. it should cost half of what it currently does, or even less, given that potions are fairly common.
minor mp regeneration should be added to the magic skill tree somewhere. I have yet to find it on any item or artifact I have found, making it very hard to use a magic based character. or how about give some regeneration every time you gain a level, or get to a new floor. between healing, rarely using a spell for offense, and the forge... magic points get used up way too fast.
you mean the cave that collapses? that demon dog at the end is entirely beatable. you probably needed to spend more time training, and spend a bit of cash on your sword to beef it up some. training is free remember (well, for the things like agility and strength). if you need cash to beef up your sword, go fishing.
@gnossos: hit the escape key, then click on the "exit fishing game" tab at the bottom of the menu that comes up. it will get you out of that mode; happened to me as well.
sometimes the fish game gets stuck where it won't countdown any more. great if you like scoring a lot of points, bad if you want to do anything other than fish.
btw, serpent arrow? IT STACKS. yes, that's right, for every 8-hit arrow you fire off, you can fire another arrow that does the same thing, to the same target, as fast as you can click your mouse button. you can have 4 or 5 arrows all attacking at the same time, doing 8 hits or more each, at double damage or more each. do the math. NOTHING, not even ancient vamps, last more than a few seconds of that. And you don't even have to be facing your enemy to shoot. you can run ahead, point the same direction your running, and all those arrows will hit whatever is nearest, including whatever is chasing you. sorry, but for all the archer whiners? that makes serpent arrow hands down the most OP power in the game, and archers thus the most OP class.
...and for those that hate the aiming system, try out serpent arrow. It auto-seeks targets. You can fire it blind and hear it hit enemies you can't even see.
"Pro tip: ranged attacks are useless - most of your time will be spent in dungeons, where it is so dark that by the time you are close enough to see an anemy to aim at, you are already in range to swing a sword at them." >>>>>> better pro tip: that's why you take the "point blank" skill ASAP. point blank + incendiary = easy clear.
...also, as a quick and dirty way to aid in aiming, you might try speeding projectiles up by about twice what they are now. would help with the constant misses when shooting at a target that isn't moving directly at you.
1) I sometimes die even with full health 1.7k HP and i am wearing the maxed forged items this is potentially a bug.
not a bug. necromages kill in one hit.
2) Fighting feels off because on later stages you can only win battles by using magic.
not true at all. in fact, some of the tougher enemies regenerate when you use magic on them (again, necromages). the idea is to use items that boost your physical attack after you cast a skill. Normal attacks then do huge damage. as much or more than any skill.
5) The hero should attack into the direction of the mouse for better aiming of attacks and skills
hero attacks in the direction it is pointing. it's pretty simple. really, this game is best suited to keyboard only. move your guy with the arrow keys, and attack/use skills with your other hand. works fine.
That's fixed.
