Nice lil' Frantic Frigates in SPAAACE. Yet needs polishing, first, better optimization - game lags hard after second boss, second, "endless" mode after all upgrades, and third, align dem hitboxes man!
Not so bad little game, yet it'll be a LOT better if you'd implement mouse driven ship move, like in ye olde Frantic. Also while upgrades do stack, you get maxed out too quickly. Also I'd call this "bullet sponge" not "bullet hell" as you plain cannot dodge them all, the game dev is too heavy on homing missiles with scaling damage.
Whoever wants to still play Gemcraft Labyrinth can use this link (tested by me): supernova://play/?swfurl=https://cache.armorgames.com/files/games/gemcraft-labyrinth-10317.swf This uses AG's GCL SWF file which isn't sitelocked to Kongregate OR Armorgames, so at least free part of GCL is accessible.
If someone who still plays this would accidentally know the exact URL for armorgames' Sonny 2 SWF, they could feed it to Supernova and have the access to hydraulic. I don't know... yet... so I'm playing control bio here.
Too bad that making a dodo learn to fly does not trigger an achievement (tried story/200k and classic, selecting dodo as body and not changing that ever since). But it'll be a great thing to brag for a penguin IMHO.
Too bad this never got badges. Otherwise, a pretty decent launcher, yes with bugs but nobody's perfect. And, I liked the scream that goblin made at intro. Took me by surprise but still. 4/5
This does not work in SuperNova :( while worked in a browser with Adobe plugin. Pitiful. HeyKong, maybe give us a way to launch SWFs in say a standalone Adobe Flash player?
For last level: Grab the gate off yellow, then gram his ship at once with the gate. Start sending your ships via gate to the beacons at the center, collect them via ships or else they'll get wiped, note black goes for beacons as well. As soon as you capture a beacon go counterclockwise to next one, also tele more ships in there. Once at ~200 at a single beacon, send next 100 to ships on the other side which should still be happily fighting about the gate, then 100 more to the fourth, repeat the chore with two gates. Once at 400 in all the beacons go for the center, should eliminate their opposition.
Sparta/easy is, well, easy to the point of me getting the win first playthrough (after failing a megaton on medium). But Sparta/medium is frikking impossible to beat off Persia, maybe unless you get alien weapons with your scout, then you could probably "sit in" and face Persians with your attack bonus. "Army strength" for spartans somehow does not get applied to defense - probably even a bug!
Athens medium looks too easy if you know what to do. Use diplomacy to conquer city-states, then once you start trading, get one deal for buying prod (mission) then one to buy slaves (+pop) and one for selling prod - you can net profit by buying prod/warriors then selling em elsewhere, if you play by city-state specialty. Store envoys for until you meet new cities, get somewhere a buy culture deal (Rhodes or Ephesus) and use that to bootstrap your culture until Philosopher's Stone, then gift everyone into submission.
Next level is space, R to restart current level. Great thing, regardless of it being someone's clone, if there's none like this on the current platform.
in fact this is a ripoff of desktop tower defense, but added "mega-towers" make it sort of nice and different. But if this comes down to juggling all levels for the impossible, it'll be a 2/5, however I didn't have to resort to juggling at low levels.
