This game does not "remind of Magesty". This is a rip-off of Magesty. The units and buildings are identical. You could have at least changed the colors on the marketplace banners. Even those are identical. Even the spell icons are identical.
I am talking here about the mobile version of Majesty - developed by HeroCraft Ltd. At least herocraft added the logo of Paradox (the publishers of the original Majesty series) to the game, thus not taking credit for the game design in its self. And i am sure they had to pay for it.
Dragging the units is very un-natural. A soldier can walk at a certain speed. Dragging it like a god-like intervention feels just like cheating .. or a bug.
This game feels like someone liked Majesty, and thought: let's make another one just like that, but where i can move the units to make it easy. This was the main point in Magesty: that the heroes where driven by their own will, not directly by the player. Moving them just breaks the whole mechanics.
Completed first area, got all three keys, but at the door, i clicked on the 1-1 area (the one i was in, because there was a room - the map room, i did not visit). The Door is locked again, and i have to fight the 3 students again. While not very inconvenient, i believe this is a bug. Since i already opened the door, why is it closed again ?
Bug: after you finish a mission, if you click somewhere else than a button of the de-briefing, the de-briefing menu dispersal, but nothing else loads. you end up stuck and have to re-load the game.
I found the game surprisingly good. Nice characters. A nice addition would be more information on characters. Maybe even on enemies, but that's not a "must", because you could think of it as exploration. But on characters, it's a must. information about attack area and special effects (push/ensnare, etc.) A simple way of doing this would be to show a preview window where the character performs the attack. This would show the effects as well as the attack area. Overall, nice game.
very nice game. Especially the enemy design. that is the strongest point of the game. Enemy design is really great. A few things to add, probably cheap: background could be a bit more varied, maybe add some visual upgrades such as another cannon on each side for upgrading the multishot, different colors for each armor level, different shapes for the shots at different damage (keep the color tho, this is helpful to distinguish your shots), etc. More serious suggestions: if you ever start working with occlusion, path finding, etc, you could increase the map size and add obstacles.
Good game overall.
wind calculation is different in the tutorial than the first mission that requires wind (the one with the gym). In the tutorial, the wind is at -10, and you are required to shoot at 10. (i thought i needed to compensate). in the gym mission, the wind is at -20, and you have to shoot at -20.
great game. a single point to add, beside what's been said: after a weapon is out of ammo, please default to the next most powerful one, not the first. it's a bit frustrating to go from laser to machine-gun in the middle of the fight. thanks.
Did not get to play a lot (still at the beach), but this game looks awesome. Gameplay seems ok, graphics are outstanding, and animations are very well done. Congratulations. From my experience with turn based games, it would be cool if units that are at the back of a party would be protected against melee attacks if the 2 slots in front are full. So if you have a mage and 2 soldiers in the front, only archers/mages and AoE would harm him/her. Or melee if one of the defenders falls (or both.... but that could be a bit overpowering).
Note to dev: when, in map screen, information about the opponent's starting card is displayed, it is written underneath it "press any key to continue". in that screen, the message has no meaning.
Other than that, great game. 5/5 +fav :)
Great game. really. really great. one of those that you remember. I loved the fact that you really had something to say in the accuracy of the attacks, but also a way to improve that through stats. Absolutely great game. and also, the sound was nice, the graphics was great, and the attention to details (the fact that if you scored closet to 100% accuracy, the shot would land closer to the head of the enemy, different shots, etc). Nice balancing of characters, nice skills. really loved it. 10/5 ;) waiting for the sequel.
Nice game. very nice graphics, very nice enemies. Nice level progression. Confirmed, i CAN click at a higher rate than the one provided when the button is held. towers need to shoot differently. One could have a laser attack, one could have a 360 attack, seeking projectiles, wave projectiles, different fire rates (all these attributes could be increased by upgrading the towers). maybe have placement option, option to buy more than 1 tower, but these last 2 are not that needed. Different projectiles is a must. Overall, nice game and very good graphics/enemy design and level design.
Thanks ^^
