Nice remake! Only recommendations are a smoother paddle and the computer's paddle jerks a lot when it's making slight movement corrections (thinking?) - should also be smooth.
Not to be critical, but I think several of you might be missing the point. If the bot goes the wrong way, move it back - that's part of the challenge. And if you watch them closely, there is usually a pattern to their movements and how they react to the bot closest to them as well as one closing in. I really enjoyed this and gave it 5 stars! Now for the gold...
I enjoyed this! I normally don't like these types of games. TIP FOR FIRING: Hold down the mouse and move the cursor off onto the web page and then let go of the button. Auto-firing will remain but you don't have to hold down the button! No carpal-tunnel! :)
jmtb02, I like where you are going with it. Enjoyed the a-typical explosions, changing graphics, etc. 3 items would really keep me playing this: (1) better graphics for the bases and turrets (keep the curve though); (2) limited ammo as others have mentioned; and (3) the change to the staging that would have to happen with a change in #2 anyway.
Creative. Not sure I agree with other comments on the control sensitivity. The timing and sensitivity of that adds to the challenge. I would recommend NOT being able to control crates that you can't see (so you have to jump up before moving a crate in the next section. Also liked the death animation.
How in the world do you play this game? Each enemy requires almost 10 hits to destroy and the physics of the shots don't seem correct at all? I play these games all the time, but can't even break 100 on this one?
Nice take on a classic. Curve was a nice touch in my opinion. I like the fireworks on hit as well. The gameplay doesn't seem smooth enough though. Also don't like the square ball - may be all in my head. Overall good game.
Wow! Just hit the sides of the falling balls! Why didn't I think of that? Oh wait... because it's common sense :| The point isn't how to play - it's that we are annoyed by the timing issue. Some of us simply don't have the desire to keep playing indefinitely and hope we happen to get the right time. I happen to think that is a valid complaint by everyone who made it.
Sorry, I completely forgot there was one more complaint - the saves everyone mentions. I do this as a hobby and don't have 10 hours a day to keep playing these things over and over, especially when part is chance on the deal. :)
Haven't gotten very far yet, but excellent strategy game with just the right amount of chance. Nice graphic design and background music. Only complaint was the tutorial. Needs a lot of work - many times I had to figure out the way it worked myself because OK wouldn't advance the text. I think some of the logic in the tutorial is just off a bit, maybe?
