At first I thought players were being a little too harsh about the people holding up structures instead of dying, but I now believe I was wrong. So far, I've run into so many bugs regarding this, it amazes me it got released. I've hit people dead-on with a metal ball and it knock the person into a wall and not kill them. I've had a guy literally hold up an entire tower on his head (Scenic View). At other times though, I've had the opposite where I'll barely hit a tower and it barely shakes. The people in it just barely shake and half of them die. Or, a log falls and hits a side hill and doesn't even touch the person under it, but the person still explodes in a shower of red.
While I don't think this concern is the main point of the game (I still enjoy the game and its many features), it is buggy enough that it should definitely be addressed.
This game is a perfect example of why Kongregate's achievement/award system is critical to game awareness (and makes K so much better than other sites). When this game first came out, for some reason I avoided it like the plague - nothing interested me. However, I decided to play it for the card and badges and it turned out to be one of my favorites. I never would have tried it otherwise. Kudos to Mikengreg for an outstanding game and to K for an outstanding idealology!
I'm not really a TD fan and have only really enjoyed 2 in the last few years: GemCraft and Bloons. I have to say I can now add this as a 3rd. Well done in so many ways and kept me entertained!
Wow! I can't believe so many of these comments come from adults (yes, I assume at least 50% of the ages are bogus). I can't imagine what it must be like to work or live with some of you people... Anyway, the graphics are creative and the gameplay was unique - definitely not the usual golf fair. The storyline was corny, but there isn't anything wrong with that, especially if it was geared for kids. Overall, pretty good game.
Only thing I don't like is that if the people get ahead, it is WAY too easy to catch them. When trying to get some of the achievements, I'll wait for 10+ seconds at the Starting Line. 2 sec later, I've already caught up with them (on the first 2 bikes). Great game otherwise!
I don't usually like these, yet I found this very enjoyable! Well designed, fluid gameplay and handling (at least for me), creative upgrades and achievements - just an all-round great game!
Nice presentation of a well-known solitaire game. Animation, graphics, & gameplay were all great! Some variety in music would have been nice, but otherwise great job!
I'm assuming the madness is the fact that there are SEVERAL differences in each scene that aren't registered. Either way, it makes the game frustrating, not fun (intentional or otherwise). Nice idea, but poorly executed in my opinion... On the other hand, I really loved the transitions.
For those having trouble with the exact angels on Elite, it auto-restarts when you run out of grenades, so just leave your mouse alone and keep trying for the correct angle. Then when it auto-restarts, you're there!
