Nice continuation of this tutorial series, I like this installation a lot better than the first: it moves quickly, and makes a good connection with the game and the lesson, and the game is pretty fun on its own. The retro music and art style reminds me of PixelJam Games... very nice.
Yep I realize this is a re-make and I must say for the record that I played and enjoyed the original. But, for all the graphical improvements (which I like), I still like the original Fulp game better. I just think it would have been nice to see this engine used for something, ahh... original?
I agree with gamegrl, this is not the greatest game premise... but, I think the new quasi 3-d environment is neat, an improvement over the original. I wish I could say the same about the gameplay, though.
I like the radar system and the hyperspace effect a lot. Maybe it would be good to have a level selection menu that remembers the last level you made it to.
Powerups seem a little unfairly weighted, if the comp gets a turbo its game over for you. Anyway there's no skill involved, but still fun to play a few times. What I really like is the sound fx and the way it switched ears on my headphones when the comp was ahead or behind. Nice touch!
I have another comment: the two player mode on this game rules! The ball physics make it so much fun, after about four hits it starts going crazy... yes!
This game is obviously really buggy and it would be better to have some indication of what the goal is... and, the 'name here' part is painfully amateurish. Keep trying, I think an update is in order.
At first I was like, 'aw, not pong again...', but then your game proved its worth, and I like it. It's good that your AI can let the player win, and its more visually interesting than pong original.
