Darth Kaan: A survivor can learn on the job. I most often have them adjusting squares (so that they may become builders) or guarding the fort (so that they may become soldiers), as I use more of those types. Keep in mind though, that having no leader can be disastrous, so if you too few leaders, send a survivor with him (or perhaps send one out without a leader, just don't expect them to be able to recruit that turn). Phesonor et al.: I started to have the same problem as you, so I went to the NinjaKiwi site to sign in to see if that would make a difference. Initially it tried to get me to download Flash (maybe part of the problem is that our Flash isn't up to date enough???) But I backed out of that page and it downloaded the game (where I wasn't rank 1). Coming back to Kongregate I no longer had the rank 1 problem. So I suggest either trying to sign in at NinjaKiwi or making sure that Flash is fully updated. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
Sandy: 1. To select the people that you want, at the very start of the game, simply click the icon which represents the one you want in the slots where you want them (e.g., the Bow is the Ranger). If you don't know their skill sets, click preview class skills, to help with your decision. You can also change any character from male to female or conversely by clicking on that icon above the dice icon, and also scroll through some pictures for one you would prefer (using the arrows). 2. Regarding changed positions, since you know who you'll fight in advance, make sure to adjust for any skills which may be helpful at that time. For example, my Cleric has Smite in the slot which I vary (some characters have skills which can help with this, others do not, but they may have ones to help fight against others). 3. I believe that the most powerful enemies appear after each 9 levels, and defeating that first one is the end of that campaign. PM me if you have more questions.
Arduino: If you have difficulties of running out of ammo, simply purchase more ammo, LOTS more. But really, you're probably fighting them wrong, as those early guys, while it is time consuming are so weak that I can fight them with my fists. I am guessing that you started your person with poor abilities. So let me give you a recommendation. For you, I would suggest selecting 9, 8, 7, 1 as your starting abilities (just adjust the numbers as needed from the person you want to select – I'd go with Martin, then choose your preferred picture and what name you want). Mid next week I would be happy to give you many more pointers, just pm me to let me know if you're interested. If so, perhaps play other games for now....
Anarat: The animals only carry the goods, not people, so until you are able to get vehicles to carry all your people, your speed is the speed of the slowest person / animal. Do realize that to use vehicles that you'll need fuel and containers to hold purchased fuel, and if you ever run out of fuel, you'll lose all your vehicles, so be prepared before you purchase them (and yes, you'll need to leave those early cities to purchase vehicles). This is my favorite game, so I would be happy to answer any further questions, but I will be unavailable until mid next week. If you have any questions feel free to pm me and I'll answer at that time.
Feli: It is indeed possible to beat the game on Nightmare mode. In fact, it is my favorite mode. To prove that it can be beat, check Achievements and under Game Won On Nightmare, you'll see it packed with people who have done just that. Don't get me wrong, it is indeed difficult, and odds are that you'll have to adjust how you're playing. Have you first won in Harder mode? If not, beat that mode first. I am about to be busy regarding vacation, but mid next week, if you would like some pointers or assistance, I would be happy to help. Pm me if you would like assistance. It would be helpful if you include what you main strategy is or where you notice that you seem to mostly have difficulty. That way I can include reasons as to why you're having extra difficulty. Yohanangx: Did you follow the storyline of first talking to the Sheriff, then talking to the guy in Verdammter Platz, then talking to the Sheriff again, then talking to the guy at Caganel? (You'll want to have $$$ prepared to talk to him.) He is the one who will tell you where it is located. If you have already done all this and are very prepared to take on a lot of powerful people, but you forgot to write down the location, let me know. If you haven't done this yet, remember that when you do, to write down the location that he tells you. Hint, if you can't travel to Abu Kirdyk without dying, you aren't prepared. Personally, I prefer to prepare for the even stronger final battle before battling the robbers' base. If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to pm me.
Cookiething: You are to make the cure (clue, don't trade for it). These are the four main endings: Judgment Gang; Laboratory; City Hall; and Helicopter (although I like to also reclaim all the squares). If you need any further help, pm me and I will expound (I didn't know how much information you would prefer). Good luck!
Asharal: If you save the game before going to the new city and save that new city on on different slot, your prior city will still remain. (I save with my selection ready to take that helicopter ride.) This makes it easy to restart at this point regardless of how well you do in your new city. Of course, you may be referencing that you can't go back and forth between towns, which is true … one is basically just starting over, just with experienced people equipped with items, instead.
No, you don't need to spend any money (there are plenty of us who don't). It is simply that so many people just don't want to spend any time or effort to become good at being strategic in the game. As for the game resetting, you could have done as so many others have done and simply asked for what to do. Or, even better, if you would have looked further on the Comments or on the Forum Posts, you would have found out that refreshing would have fixed your problem.
Jmcclare: That badge isn't very difficult at all. The Ant Track seems quite difficult for awhile, but even that one I beat on hard for all 75 waves, with no lives lost. Both the Road Track and Tap Track (my favorite) are quite easy enough with multiple ways to win on hard with no lives lost, so winning on medium with 99 lives lost is surely doable, even if you aren't overly strategical. If you want any help, I would be happy to assist you. Let me know the main ways which you've played so that in addition to giving you main pointers (and maybe a good way to start, etc.), depending on the help you desire, I can let you know why your ways didn't work so that you have the knowledge to play further tracks on your own if you so desire. This is a very good strategical game and my favorite of the Bloons TD games.

I see that many people are having basic problems. To exit a building, click x, or if there is no x, then click back and then x. Make sure that you save every time before leaving your base area. To exit there, on the upper right you'll see the words World Map, click that, then you'll have a choice of where to go. If you're just starting out in the game, you'll simply want to be in Castaway Beach. After clicking, before you move, notice where you are. See how the land sticks out there with the length of 3 blocks? Well, when you want to go back to the buildings, that is where you'll want to go. If you walk around that section, to the lower right you'll see the land stick out again with three blocks, that is is where you can travel to the next section.

If you walk there, again remember your surroundings as to leave the next area there are two options of where next to go, but those are definitely more dangerous than those first two sections, where those sand beetles will not hurt you unless you first attack them. I do recommend not ever selling any healing items or shards as you will likely want them at some point. In fact, when you use heal, it is likely best to use up your weaker heals first so that you'll have stronger heals when you most need them. If you are one that thinks that the game is difficult then take it slow and steady. Simply battle those Sand Beetles for quite awhile, and I do mean quite awhile, to improve yourself. I realize that that can get monotonous, but you'll be much better prepared for the tougher creatures down the line.

Then you can venture to the next areas, etc. But always be careful how you progress and don't get to big for your britches. This game actually isn't very difficult if you do that. As for directions, while it is not optimum, it is the same that many other games use, and one simply just needs to get used to it. While battling those easy Sand Beetles, orient yourself to those directions. (FYI, there are different sections on the World Map, where you will also find creatures which won't attack you unless you attack them; they are simply more powerful adversaries. That is where you should again spend lots of time to build up your supplies and improve yourself.)

When one has a problem with a game, it is wise to quickly check the Comments for solutions (click see all). If one does that in this game, very quickly one will find out that all one normally has to do to get their progress back is to refresh.
Shock4513: The Tap track is the one which is in the shape of a Water Faucet. It is currently the fourth track listed, the one located at the upper right.
Callbra011: I simply avoid the Church of the Chosen Ones ending (embracing zombieism) by not allowing them to write the book about the zombies in the first place. Many people do allow them to do that (for some needed happiness), but they do say NO to letting them set up the Church. If you want more indepth information on possibilities regarding allowing them to do that but trying to stop the progression in some alternative way, either search for prior comments or pm me and I will provide the information which I have collected from others.
