However, I would make villager building occur quicker when "rally" is used, and I would note what rank a building is when selected as you currently have to click upgrade to see what rank it would improve into to know the current rank
The solutions to a few of the goals are a bit complicated and unexpected. I felt like I had to use the walk-through so it didn't become a guess and click fest. I would have given it a 3/5, but the opening scene was very well done so I caved and gave it a 4. With a little more direction (and maybe some more logic behind the steps you go to solve everything) this could turn into the start of a wonderful series.
too much pause between directional shifts while using the keyboard, key-bindings should be editable and gold should be worth something. good concept though. with a few tweaks this could turn into a very addicting game.
Castaway 2 is a good game. However it needs to have several changes to become better. Equipment space should not only be strength based (add craft-able bags?). Crafting should allow know recipes to be created (multiples at a time without organizing them into the crafting boxes) The day/night system causes the screen to be too dark sometimes (brighter nights). Some interact-able locations in towns are easily missed (make important npcs/stores stand out). It's easy to get lost in the game or not be sure of were to complete an objective (add color coded map that displays bosses/towns/quest objectives and represents each zone instead of just each general area). And the last thing: Movement is a tad slow (add movement speed to agility, make the movement speed faster, and increase the speed gained by the movement speed spell). I hope you continue to improve on the series. Thanks for a good game!
5/5 for featuring Ronald Jenkees. Check out his youtube channel to watch him play. When you watch him perform his works of art, you realize how brilliant this man is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O2aH4XLbto
For a majority of games on Kongregate (and other websites) you can use the keyboard command "control +" to enlarge the screen. "control -" shrinks the screen, and "control 0" sets the screen back to default size.
ATTENTION! Google Chrome also had the "statistics" problem happen. I was playing the game for an hour or so, restarted a game and the screen froze (seemed like it was trying to load an add). After I refreshed it played an add and then I was frozen on the statistics page that says "your" at the top.
The shoot volume is a bit too high. It would be nice if we could adjust both the sound and music so we could listen to the music without the spam shot sound. great game though, 5/5 despite the inability to listen to music on the last couple levels.
Focus on upgrading weapons each level. Also, stick with the helicopter ship. It has 3 slots (more than enough to get you through the whole game) and is the fastest ship there is.
The artwork, story, and method of finding clues is decent. The main problem I found with this game is that the way you progress through most of the game is by combining items in the leads section, and some combinations do not feel like they fit.
Short, and it was a bit easy once you realized the blueprint was a list of items you were looking for. I really liked it though, and hope the next one has harder more in-depth puzzles with multiple rooms to search.
