Bad hit detection.
Bad attempt at "SUPA-KAWAII-DESU!" Wapanese graphics.
Bad attempt at challenge by tempering the fact that you get awesome weaponry with hit point ratings that verge on the stupid.
Also; I ran into FOUR bugs in TWENTY minutes of play. A total bomb.
BAD GAME!
Here's why people are having problems:
1. ) Just like Scrabble, no proper nouns. If it has to be capitalized (Jesus, Missouri, Newfoundland) it's not allowed.
2. ) There is a character limit.
3. ) Try not to use repeated letters in a word UNLESS you want to use all the chambers. Sometimes holding off on 2 jade and 2 brass is VERY worth it.
There needs to be a MUCH longer version of this game. For "Ye Olde Schoolers" that may remember it - it's almost like a sequel to The Neverhood from eons ago. BRILLIANT!
Well...
Considering Kongregate got PAID for putting it on here (AdultSwim/Cartoon Network made the game over a year ago) I'm not surprised it got badges.
It was one of the worst (but DAMN prettiest) Flash games I ever played and still is.
Whoever decided control input commands should include double-taps on a keyboard should be... Uhh... What's that damn word?
Oh - yeah:
Crucified.
If you can beat Raiden Fighters Jet with the MK-II this game is damn easy. If you can beat Gradius III on Arcade mode (or in the arcade, for that matter...) This game is freakishly easy. If you can beat Ikaruga (Dreamcast version) on very hard this game is laughably easy. If you can beat Blazing Lazers on the TG-16 without losing a life - you'll never get hit once.
I know - I didn't take a single shot.
Make a "Hardcore" mode, introduce levels for all the cards, decrease the amount of money you get per level by half and make all of the enemies shoot back... That's how to make this game better... BUT: It's second only to Raiden II - Flash version as the best shooter in Flash on the entire internet.
Bravo.
5/5
Well... It doesn't suck THAT bad - but as someone who's played L5R since Imperial and M:tG since Mirage I can say that the engine is balanced... But too symmetrical. I beat the challenges and missions with almost no effort... More variety between what the colors do would be a big help - that and the A.I. (sorry for this) is like trying to play chess against a "developmentally disabled" quadruple amputee.
Holy hell... That game doesn't even count as anything but bone-breakingly hard - and this is coming from someone who beat King's Quest 5 and 6... I don't even think Sam and Max Hit the Road or Grim Fandango makes your brain hurt this much - seven hours and no walkthrough - for possibly the best ending to a flash game ever. MAKE A THREE, DAMMIT!
