That level 21... the boss is harder due to lag and not seeing what are you clicking and unresponsive click hitboxes. If playability is what makes a game hard, way to go... :/
So much cheating on the highscores... as always. Kongregate is eager to show us kreds and ads everywhere, or silencing our prophiles when we swear or show sexual references on any way... yet they never fix broken leaderboards. Oh, the irony, the irony...
Please do not listen to the people asking for art... or at least give an option to not show any graphics you may add. One of the greatest points of this game is that it is not processor heavy at all... keep it like that.
I've had a few people offer to contribute graphics (I can't make good graphics myself), and I think I'd like to add an option for graphics at some point. That said, Swarm Simulator will never *require* graphics. Any graphics added later (anything bigger/flashier than the icons we have now, anyway) will be optional and easily disabled. There's lots of people playing at work who like having a game that doesn't draw much attention. :)
I love this game! And it is almost perfect for running on the side, with its little CPU consumption! Thanks for not putting a shitoad of useless graphics, like AdVenture Capitalist did on their ugly update.
This game brings me back to the old arcade days. The game was really hard in the sense of "oh, you wanted to backtrack? Yes? Oh good luck. Here is the boss. And it is game over if you die!"
There is that thing that makes this game worthwhile over many others - backtracking. That helps tons with replay value, as you can just mess around and grind until you have full sets of equipment and the team you like.
Whoever thought this game was a good idea, either was a majestic gamer or had too much free time. No replayable levels + weapons are the only upgrade and cost money = the possibility of being stuck on a level, like, for example, 17.
To any Bullethell newcomer: Hi! Welcome to Reactance 2! I recommend you to train by playing Frantic and escalate the difficulty each time. Then, come back. Still, don't worry. Most of us died 100 times. And die you will, a lot. Still, the game is great. Give it a chance! Don't ragequit!
I took my time and every potion to get to the red chest. I walked towards it... and it was the first mimic I encountered. And it killed me. You know? A game's ability to frustrate you is something we gamers value, because a too easy game is bad. So... well done. Yay!
