Ok, I absolutely love this game. it's on my list of favorites. But, WHY OH WHY did you have to include this whole energy bar shit? I can't stand only being able to do 4 or 5 battles, then have to wait HOURS for it to refill. Not only does it make getting the badge take much longer, but it ruins an incredible game.
Uh, am I the only one it's not working for all a sudden? I was playing it this morning just fine, but now it just stays a grey screen and a weird error comes up. Anyone else getting this?
Oh man....this brings back memories. I played the hell out of this series when I was younger, before I discovered Kong. Back when I played games..just to play them and not for badges. I really wish it had gotten badges because to this day it is still so fun.
Wow. 3 comments in a row damming Jungle Brook. Looking forward to it. Why the hell did this get badges? I mean...seriously, it's just solitaire. Giving it the challenge wasn't enough? Now I have to bore myself to a hard badge? I mean, for what it is it's good but, it's not 1 challenge and 2 badges good. I honestly wonder if companies are starting to pay to get their games badged.
Woo! Hell yea! Finally got the Speed Razor badge. What made it so hard for me was. my computer lags horrible, so that screwed up the framerate and forced me to beat him in closer to 3 minutes. But I did it. Getting the badge is all about combos. You want very high combos so that you can level up quickly. When he shoots the beams, don't run to the other side. Run to the side of the screen he is on, stand behind him and mash A. You'll get in a ton of hits and exp since he can't defend himself. I've gotten the lollipop Knight numerous times, but on this run, I beat him with the golden knight. It's all about speed, combos and ALWAYS, ALWAYS BE ATTACKING! And if he's in the air, be getting big combos on the tombstones. It also helps if a tombstone is right in front of him. That way you get the xp of hitting him AND the tombs. 10/5 and favorited. Love this game so much.
I love how Greg acknowledges how insanely long it takes to complete this one...and yet when Labyrinth came around, he still made beating it only a hard badge....with 169 damn levels.. The Gemcraft series is one of my favorites series...but all the badges in every game are just nuts. I mean in number one you have to reach level 30 just for a medium. Both this and 3 need to be impossibles. I don't know why he decided to be so hardcore with the badges in this series but, damn.
This is a good game, but, I think level 25 is worth more than a hard. It takes a long time to get there. Most games you get through the first 10, 15 levels quickly. In this it takes awhile to get even low levels.
Am I the only one who had very little trouble with the main 50 levels? I mean a couple levels took me some time but, overall I breezed through them in 20 minutes, 25 max. 49 isn't hard, but for some reason I just kept making stupid mistakes. 50, just as long as you jump at the right times, isn't very hard because there's only 1 path. I had the hardest time on 48, but still it didn't take long. Great game, I don't know if I'm just..good at it? Or if it's just not a very hard game because quite honestly I had very, very little trouble getting both hard badges. Easiest 60 points I ever made. Anyways, 5/5. Now watch Run 2 completely destroy me.
Remind me again what makes this kid so popular that every single person who even catches a glimpse of him acts like they must chase and stand near him or else they'll explode.
I spent god knows how long training 3 ducks..all the way until I got to the city. The message before the races say if you use just 1 duck he'll get tired and be slow...so I thought you needed 1 duck per race. So, 2 days later, I find out you only need 1 duck with fully maxed stats for every race. ....so I spent another hour and a half training just 1 duck to max. This is officially the most amount of time I have ever put into a medium..and it's all because that stupid message that made me think I needed 3. I have spent..hours on the game in the last few days. I never want to see another duck in my life.
Seriously. What the hell? This is complete and utter BS. Just like jwilkes said..No one can get the badges just because this game is unpopular. Why the hell do we have to connect to a server at all dammit? All the badges simply require beating a time. Why can't we just do the races with just us? We'd still have to beat the time. Hell, add AI if you want. But this is just ridiculous that those badges are now unattainable.
Ahh. This is just one of those puzzles games that, for whatever reason, fries my brain. I don't know exactly what it is because, I'm smart. I'm a very intelligent person, but for some reason games like this just hit some part of my brain that isn't there. Like Upot Goes Up. I had a hell of a time with that one. I've always been horrible at math (which made my old Physics classes a nightmare) and for some reason this just seems to work in the brain the same way as math. It just short circuits everything until I can't think. Great concept, but my weak spot when it comes to gaming.
You want me to spend 3,000 kreds. Are your out of your damn mind? No..I mean seriously...3...thousand? I'm all for supporting good developers and don't mind spending some kreds. But...3..no..wait, seriously? You..you're serious? 3,000.....
"Hardest medium badge in Kong." Not only is that horrible, horrible grammar, but the medium really isn't that hard. Just keep practicing until you learn his attacks and patterns. You'll get it soon.
Damn. Really wish this had badges. @Keaton - hell yes for knowing who Torque is. That is such an incredible game (to this day one of the best console games ever) and this really reminds me of it. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, go buy The Suffering for PS2. Despite being an older game...it's still one of the freakiest, most unique and amazing games ever.
