I really like the puzzle games like this, where you don't need pixel perfect clicking, and a bunch of puzzles are revealed to you from the start. It's more about finding out what all the letters and symbols mean, and what to do with them, rather than not being able to find that lever that was next to the bed the whole time and you would have seen it in real life, but you didn't know you could click on a specific area to look there, even though you tried looking there a few times, and just barely missed. The puzzles here generally all made sense, and you didn't have to look too often for hidden items.
The levels are all the same.
The enemies are the same.
The shop doesn't tell you crap about the weapons, and they are all largely the same.
In the end, it looks like a game designed by someone who doesn't actually have any comprehension of game design.
The hotkeys are terrible. Can't look around with WASD. Looking around with arrow keys is slow as hell. There's no way to navigate planet or stations options with hotkeys (like numbers...)
Otherwise it seems alright.
Oh... The puzzles are very lackluster. Mostly: "find the key item, stick it in a hole shaped like it. Find the note, copy the symbols from it into a panel."
Fun, though a little easy at some parts. (which isn't necessarily bad)
Got every star and 50k from the first time beating each level. (though that's not to say some of the later levels didn't take 4-5 attempts)
Wow... This is pretty bad. Controls are crappy. Game is boring. Did it just for the daily badge, which was boring and easy to get. Just make as many skeletons as you can, run to the nearest building ignoring everything except soldiers. When all the buildings and soldiers are dead... sit around mashing the attack button, because your army is too stupid to attack move across the whole map, and will forget their orders after killing one enemy.
Don't bother dragging to highlight, its buggy and annoying. Can't even click on a single unit. Use Z to select all. Upgrade whatever you want, but skeletons, army size, and mana regen probably get the badge fastest.
Got to 26 quickly enough. Took a while to try to figure that one out, maybe I'll come back and look at it later. My only gripe is not having an undo button to reverse moves.
I love how so many people compare I to Sudoku. It does indeed have a similar feel. Which is why am glad it is not longer. I feel that increased length would leave the player bored, unless more complexity was added.
Perhaps that is only because I feel that most of the 'fun' of Sudoku is figuring out how to solve them, which dies after you have done a few.
But it is a bit nice that it is simple, which in turn makes the length feel right.
I liked my triple magnet mine launcher and gatling gun that spawned gatling turrets.
It would have been nice to be able to redistribute the weapon upgrades. Much more useful than stat redistribution I think. Especially since I didn't know what upgrades would work well together.
