Also, I have no idea what I'm going to do with all this gold. I've got over 100K, but no real incentive to spend it. The stuff that can be bought for gold is crap compared to the stuff that can be bought for diamonds, even if the gold-only item is several levels higher.
The fixed amount of XP per dungeon seems pretty odd. You get the same amount of points for a single creature, for a pair of creatures at the same power level as the first, and for the boss at the end. And don't even get me started on multiple attack waves.
Okay, sometimes there's a transition in the middle of a dungeon, but it's always something like 550 XP for every battle to 660 XP for every battle.

Healing potions are always good for staying in the field, of course, but you need gold to buy those. You start with a certain number of potions and 400 in gold, but once that's gone, it's gone. The monsters don't drop gold, they SOMETIMES will drop a single feather or flower petal that sells for 20. I'm sorry, but if I've just slaughtered two giant owls, I think I could walk away with more than just one feather in my pocket. Give me a few dozen of those per kill and I won't complain about not getting actual gold.
This game looked promising, but it's very flawed.
Yeah, this isn't working for me. The characters kept talking about getting to the canyon like it was my very first, immediate goal. So I fled monsters to make sure I would survive, got to the goal, and got wiped out by a boss baddie. Looks like I have to gain some experience.
Unfortunately, level grinding is going to be like water eroding rock: you need thousands and thousands of XP to get to the next level, and you get what seems like a hundred or so per encounter. Also, the threat levels of the monsters are far too high for such a low level of XP; forget about an extended monster hunt, because there is a very real chance you will die.
Now I remember why I got tired of the first game. Having to kill each boss twice in a row gets pretty tedious. Do they *all* have to have that magic resurrection or whatever?
It's bad enough that you have to spend money (which I don't have to spare) to really get anywhere, but I was getting by with doing things the slow way. But now the server keeps hanging during battles, so I can't see myself coming back to this game.
I'm getting tired of level-grinding, and it's becoming increasingly obvious that the only way to really get anywhere in this game is to spend money... which I can't spare. I think I'm done.
The resale values for items are ridiculous. Buy a shield for 500, sell it off for 20? It would be great if you adopted the videogame RPG standard of half the original cost, but just about any improvement would be welcome.
I love the modular spaceship concept, but I would enjoy this game so much more if I didn't have to rely on random availability of components. Being given the option of adding more fuel tanks when I really need more weapons doesn't do much good. Why not just have a price list for all of the components? If someone has the resources, they should be able to build anything they like.
