I've been playing this game fine for days and now it's suddenly freezing up on me! I can't take any actions, but events still pop up in the notifications! Is this happening to anyone else?
Yeah, there is some kind of a pretty rare bug, I was not able to track it down so far. Could you please give a little more information in a bug-report? (like which mission it was, what was happening in the game etc)
Might play it again if the character's holding capacity weren't so limited. As it is, running back and forth just seems tedious. Also, it wasn't all that obvious that the tiny box next to the house was a storage option; as it is, I sold some stuff that I probably could have used later.
I would *love* to be able to sell off excess resources in bulk. I've got 391 smallfolk -- what am I gonna do with all of them? I plan on cutting that number down to about half (which still leaves me with a huge, HUGE surplus for any and all needs), but each sale is a separate click. Please give us the optiion to enter quantities.
This showed up on the front page again, under "Hot New Games", but before playing again, I decided to check the comments to find out if things are any better. The repair issue fix is nice, but since there's still a lot of grinding and exponential increases in building costs, I'm not playing again. Also, I didn't bother to rate the game before, but now that you've begged people for an upgrade on your still-broken game? Enjoy another 1-star rating.
Given the high difficulties involved with these adventures related to the World Event, they need to have much greater XP rewards. Better drop rates for gear necessary to this annoyingly tedious "Send Supplies" phase would be nice, too.
I was having fun when I could zip around at my own pace, exploring and trading and whatnot. And unlike some folks, I figured out how to get around Africa without spending any real money. What's killing me are (Say it with me, everyone!) waiting for repairs, and the ever-increasing costs of building markets. How about having just a flat cost, or at least a base cost modified by location and need? Paying 30K for one only to find out that later ones are (for instance) over 400K is just ridiculous.
After the game loads, I get a picture of the mysterious hooded figure, nothing else. After I click somewhere on that screen, the whole screen just goes black. I've loaded the game three times now with the same results each time. Guess I don't get to play.
That's a new one! What kind of browser are you using? Try to force a reload: Right click on the game, select "This Frame" > "Reload Frame". If it still doesn't work, could you open the developer tools console (usually F12 or CTRL+SHIFT+i, you might have to select the console tab in the new toolbar) and send the contents to support@HypnoticOwl.com? Would be a great help!
Any thought to having a confirmation function for expensive items? I ended up spending over 10,000 silver for a companion unit that I didn't actually need. Also, a better buy-back ratio would be nice; I only got about 2,000 silver when I sold it off. That really, really hurts.
It sure would be nice if I could actually go on all these quests that I've agreed to respond to. Similarly, it would be nice to have people who show up in the window as having responded to me actually, y'know, DO stuff. I'm guessing the forced inaction is because we're in different volumes of the story, or our levels are too different or something like that, but how about just blocking those incompatible requests?
You might want to consider a "reset default" option for the Customize Controls screen. I made a mistake, and I had some trouble getting things back to what I thought were normal.
Most games of the "launch" style will let you just get to the end once you've maxed everything out. With this one, even after I had bought all of the upgrades, I still had to rely way too much on luck to reach the end.
I can see having rotation be no longer possible once the fins come off, but having the rockets cut out so that forward motion is no longer possible? Someone doesn't understand physics.
After spending 100,000 to unlock a "premium" room, I figured I would be able to build something impressive, something cool, something... premium. Nope, it's just another room.
Is it me, or is there a huge jump in the difficulty of the combat quests? For quests with an award of 100 fame, I was getting through with level 4 and 5 students. For 200-fame quests, I'm getting my ass kicked each time with students at level 12 and 13.
"Hey, wasn't that tutorial fun? Now that you know how the various resources can be used to benefit your party, here's a scenario where you get almost none of them. Oh, and by the way, say goodbye to those warriors you leveled up."
