The updates are really improving the game. I have one suggestion which is to remove the camera rotation and add more points of reference to the water. I am getting slight motion sickness from playing this game due to disorientation and the nausiating camera movement. But I do like the game and hope it expands.
I stuck with it for a few stages because I thought, welll there must be some wepaon upgrades coming because this basic weapon is awful, but 6 stages later I am doing exactly the same thing. I had to quit, sorry. Nothing seems to be happening and the combat is incredibly tedious.
When I come back from idle, my bonuses in the stats screen are not being applied until I upgrade them again (Finally found a possible explanation as to why I always die immediatley after reopening the game)
Fantastic game. I couldn't have completed it without reading hints in the comments but I like how this game differs from a lot of other puzzle platformers. Most games of this type follow the same formula: 1. Start easy, learn basic controls for a few levels (usually pointless). 2. Slowly learn mechanics one by one, each level requires a new mechanic or skill until the game plateaus several levels in because you run out of new mechanics, and it just becomes a chore.
This game never felt like that.
You asked for things that don't make sense: Ring of speed (or anything that says it increases your speed.). Whatever these items claim to do, I can't actually see what they are doing. I think better descriptions of items, abilites...etc throughout the entire game are a major requirement.
Level 14 was the the most diffuclt technically, but I found 15 the hardest puzzle. Would love to see more levels, this was a great game! Perfect combination of platforming and puzzle.
Synced cloud save at home (last play was on another computer, not played at home for a long time), saved game has somehow rolled back to several hours of gameplay ago :/ Any way to update to my recent cloud save? Or have I lost 5-6 hours of gameplay?
On your home computer, you should still have the save. It'll ask before it overwrites it if you synced the older save by accident. Click sync now on the title page, and it should sync it, then login on your other computer and you should be able to get it.
@DavidL81. You didn't see the cog symbol on the start screen? One of two universally recognisable symbols for settings (along with the spanner) in every game ever made since the dawn of time?
Funny how I point out something already said - career getting deleted - and it gets -ve voted. Not really sure about the logic of down-voting that but the voting on this site's never very logical (see comment calling it “best game on Kongregate” with it's -17 score...).
The point is I played this game to death. I'd played 350+ games with 400+goals. My average star rating was 9+ per game. I'd bought everything, max sponsors, constantly max lifestyle bars (even girlfriend!), got everything I could out of the game (inc. all badges) and it was becoming too easy and repetitive (still, I'd gotten way more play than most flash games so that was bound to happen eventually). Then I see new updates so I decide to try out the new competitions and fixed achievements. But no, my career's gone and no way am I starting again. And no, I'm not a complete moron, I know how to keep flash save files.
New players: keep playing. You'll get way more time out of this game than you might think at first.
Fair point, I'll try to fix that in the next update. Thanks for the kind words!
