In case anyone else has this issue: I just started the game with a massive negative gold number. While I was trying to read the comments, my dude died. When he respawned, gold was reset to zero. Quite the fatalistic bug, proving death is inevitable. ;)
In some places, it is "octillion" (eg cafe upgrade cost), in others "octodecillion" (total money and restaurant upgrade cost) - same with other numbers (septillion vs septendecillion). I believe "vigintillion" is standardized, but I'm not there yet on all costs.
That is true, in the beggining they all had the small version for example "Sept, oct" etc. We are in the progress of changing them all to the full name of the number. It takes sometime though in order to change some graphics to make space for it :)
@holydaystudios As a simple solution - why have "Exp." at all, if it is tied directly to current employees? You could eliminate an extra term by just calling it employees in both places and in the tutorial.
@holydaystudios Thanks for the response. I did view that tutorial when I began playing. I can see how you were trying to explain that with the "Businesses, achievements, upgrades, city facilities, and Exp. will return to 0." However, on the very next screen, it says you will retain your Personal Level. This is confusing to me, as I didn't really equate "Personal Level" progress counted as "Exp." (the only place to see this name is a tiny mouse over on another screen, with a count of points that don’t really matter except to fill the green bar). This is a mistake other users have made and commented on. Perhaps your phrasing should be clearer for new players to avoid frustration. The overall flavor of the tutorial is "stuff built in this city is gone, make sure you have enough bankroll to buy what you want" - and it is unique to this game that "Exp." is tied to the current city EXCEPT if you level, which is permanent. Calling out this difference in a more clear way would be helpful.
Hello there, i can explain you why people downvoted on that :P On popularity menu there is a small tutorial (takes 1 minute approximately) that explains all that :) Its logical that you can't guess everything, thats why we added the tutorial !! :)
I am, of course, talking about late-late game, not the first 100 levels. (Currently on level 1571 & waiting on auto-forward with 14100 health / 14000 heal / ~39k attack & poison each, everything else maxed.) I have over 500 gems sitting here farmed AFK.
You actually do get gems while AFK. The trick is that you have to be on the highest level you have unlocked in order to earn gems. So this is why you have to eventually upgrade attack (to farm AFK effectively) and be judicious with the auto-forward button.
@TheLowerLight: Try growing some hay, then right-clicking on the hay to make grain sacks. Your wife will feed the chickens, and fed chickens tend to lay more eggs. :)
I lost where the comment was, but if you could make a CTRL button for +10 to spend money, that would be fabulous. I actually got bored spending upgrade money last night. I have $87 bil going unspent right now because it seems like a chore & is time consuming. Please, my farmer needs better cow poop!
I disagree with the suggestion to add % flower for each seed upgrade, unless it was something as insignificant as the number of stars on your seed (i.e., potato 1 star has 16% & 2 star has 17%). The entire point of the compost / tools upgrades are to speed up your harvest, so if you're harvesting a decent speed, the flower creation is simply and elegantly balanced at a flat percentage. Admittedly, my wife is only 171, but I would think any drop off in level speed for the wife would be fixed by changing her XP requirement, not changing the number of flowers generated.
I just now saw the comment under "instructions." I assumed anything important would be in the tutorial. I only read the game instructions if there is no in-game tutorial, since it usually consists of "use the mouse" or something equally inane.
