Ah yes, world war 2, which was, if this game is accurate, America vs. Germany, and no other country in the world took part.
Get some English troops fighting! Or the resistance troops from any other european country.
Argentina closes borders. Amazingly, NO insects, rodents, WATER, or AIR can get across this third-world country's border. The population obviously live in fully enclosed air-tight bubbles and only eat and drink canned or bottled foods.
No ability to choose targets, no towers with "better against troops" or "better against armour" tags, and no anti-air towers that attack only aircraft. What's the point of aircraft? Even the choppers with troops in them, which might land near the exit and drop off troops do nothing.
Ability to send troops out is interesting, but ultimately completely superfluous. They do almost nothing, and are soon out of range of the units they engage.
No option to buy upgrades between rounds (and no shortcut to it without quitting->start game->upgrades, which is just silly).
Couple of things that could easily have been noticed and fixed by actually play-testing the game before releasing it...
Altogether, though, not a bad little effort. Far far too easy, though. Once I have 3 maxed out disruptor towers I can go to sleep and wait for the enemies to die at them.
So.. get to Swinebrook.. watch in awe as 80,000,000 orc berserkers come and annihilate everyone in your army and spawn faster than you can kill them (which takes at least 3 men).. and give up on another stupid game. Well done.
I was deploying my army and accidentally hit the green tick after putting in 4 units. When I reloaded I had almost no money and none of the upgrades I'd paid for the first time through. You might want to look into that..
Really pathetic that all my units automatically charge forwards at the start of every battle. Is there any point in trying to use skill or strategy? Might as well press auto-resolve every time.
Very very quickly went from 0 losses in mission 8 to getting roflpwned in level 9 with no obvious indications of what changed. The enemy seemed to suddenly have 80,000 hp each, there were almost indestructible enemy healers everywhere, and the boss raged, where previously no boss has been even near half way..
Randomising Oryx is the best decision ever. I used to be able to take him on and do the dance at level 5, but now I've seen him 6 times or so as levels 15-20, and I've not survived once. Win :)
What is the point of this shit? Every time I try to do something the game zooms in a ridiculous amount and then back out again. All the while I'm unable to move or do anything at all. What a productive waste of time this is.
Just had an absolutely PERFECT run through "Gentle", and only got to x71. How can I possibly get to x100 if there aren't 99 yellows for me to collect?!
