While I am aware that I am probably jumping on the bandwagon, I think that if you ever made a second part to this game, it would be good if there was something akin to an upgrade tree for your equipment, so that you would have to choose between various options (with no possibility of getting every possible upgrade, of course).
Other than that, I can say that this is a great game, though a bit too easy (you can get all money-giving achievements in the first level, and it breaks the difficulty curve massively). Oh, and playing as a rogue is actually the easiest, because speed gives more than strength (with high enough speed, enemies attack less often, and thus with enough of it you don't have to worry about cooldowns when fighting the last boss).
I think I've found a bug there.
If you attack a monster while simultaneously being affected by power-up and power-down effects, your monster will do about 900% of its usual damage output.
And just for the record, I have no idea why would that happen, but I find it amusing.
A nice game, I have to admit. Though I think that the endless levels are a little bit too easy, since I got a time of over 10 minutes on the first try (11:18, to be exact), and I'm not really good at this kind of games. But maybe I'm wrong...
@francees_b: Nah, they don't have to be of the same kind. I got this achievement for 5 5-tile chains, and there were 4 different types, so I guess the only thing that matters is number of the total number of tiles.
Actually, it becomes ridiculously easy if you go for the green path first (time money, to be exact) - even if it costs you 5 lives to get 30 seconds, and that costs 300 credits to recover, and when you start getting time cost upgrade, it is reduced to a mere 2 lives, and since the 30 seconds you get is then worth 450, and upgrading red ones allows you to then spam the oblivion out of this ability, it's quite easy to get to 12.000 by the time black ones start appearing.
The problem with this game is that it's practically a re-skin.
It might've been better if its creator had a little more creativity to at least modify enemies and weapons.
I think it would be good if there was a way to differentiate between similar colours for those whose sight isn't perfect. I had trouble with recognising similar ones from each other, and thus couldn't play the game because of the blue/bluish and orangish/greenish jewels.
I think it would be quite good if our buildings could accumulate more than one charge, even if it took much more time (thrice the basic amount of time required for the second charge and just that, for example). For most buildings it wouldn't be that useful, since it's difficult to miss an hour-long recharge, but if we could get additional healing in case our soldiers died, it would be quite helpful.
@Devintuel: You are supposed to buy food and draw water from the well before you go anywhere. And having some forage for your animal would also help. Because in this game it's quite necessary to survive.
Though I suppose you had not gone to the sheriff to get your stuff yet, had you?
There are a few things worth remembering about this game if one wants not to have any trouble "winning".
First, whenever any laser of yours hits any building you have, you get a lot of additional heat, and it's not "place one more radiator" kind of more, but "Chernobyl" more.
Second, because of the previous one, both rotating mirrors and rotating lasers are kind of useless, since you'll be getting too much hit from your buildings being hit 70% of the time.
Third, laser beams do not disappear even if they become invisible, so placing two lasers at both ends of a mirror corridor is not a good idea.
Thus fourth, you want to place the buildings like pieces in checkers, so that lasers and mirrors never hit any of your other buildings.
And fifth, it's possible to get through the first night with one level 1 laser, and through the second one with one level 2 laser, if you know how to use mirrors, and because of that you don't need to spend money on radiators until after the second night.
