Raining gold is probably the worst of the power ups. When you are leveling, it makes a lot of sense, but once you have bought all the skills, the excess gold just causes the grabbers to ignore more beneficial power ups.
I generally like this game, but more than a speed up button, this game could use a marker so that I can mark areas that I have determined are bad from previous bomb runs.
I really wish to see a couple of things added. Firstly, I wish there was a use for the additional stars in the premium content. For instance a tech tree for the lightning spell would be amazing. Secondly, I wish there was a hard difficulty. I would love to be able to set all the enemies to have more life and more damage for a much more difficult challenge. Lastly, I wish I could play a sort of endless mode for every level. I would love to see just how long my defenses would last and the strategic depth of trying to fight more and more difficult waves until I was just overwhelmed.
I don't really understand what the developers of this series are doing. Its like every game stuff got removed for no good reason. Epic war 1 and 2 were great, yet 3, 4 and 5 have simple removed most of the game elements, leaving only an oddly hands off game experience.
Its a good attempt at a tower defense game, though I think the biggest flaw is simply that you can't deselect a tower to place. In fact, if you do mistakenly select a tower, the only resort you seem to have is to sell the tower for a loss.
This game really did have some fun and entertaining moments...but every one of them was ruined by an annoying pit or those bladed nightmares which force you to replay the same level 5 times because there are 5 at the end. Why do developers think this makes a more enjoyable experience.
I disagree with the idea that flash games are meant to be free. Flash is just another medium with which to make fun and entertaining games. While I don't necessarily agree with this game charging in the way it does, I think that people need to realize that flash games started as all new media with a long period of free and relatively simplistic games. Now that its infancy is coming to an end, people who couldn't charge for their work are now wanting to get some form of compensation which is steadier than simply win a contest or some ad sharing. However, these same developer must also realize that the current state of flash gaming allows many people to experience and enjoy their work, who can't have the same breadth of experience within the medium setup by corporate gaming cartels.
I agree with the kreds for upgrades thing. I mean I understand that these guys want to get paid for their work, but there is something to be said for developers who make great games simply for the love of making great games.
The game is going in the right direction but whoever made this should find some random person they know to sit down and play it for them so they can get a real good look at the major issues of this game.
This game is pretty good, though there are several problem with the overall presentation which keeps this from being as good as something like bridge builder.
