I really want to love this game! The music, concept, artwork, and animation are all almost unseen in games, but the mechanics are a tiny bit lacking. The maximum jump height isn't consistent. The controls are a little slippery (but that works more in the game's favor with the golem theme, clumsy mud creatures whose bodies can't respond too quickly). A tutorial or even a simple explanation in the help section about the odd jump mechanics would be all I would add!
Can I just say that I love how even though most zombies can't read the brains' writing they have their own writing (probably chickenscratch to us humans)? I'd also like to point out that though Ghvnn has lived for many a century and was a brain hunter at one point he can't read either, and I really appreciate that funny little detail!
It doesn't... feel right. I liked the first game well enough, but dying during the light-following puzzle by jumping too high when there's nothing to tell you or even INFER the ceiling will kill you isn't good game design.
You know, in all seriousness, it's actually pretty clever to encourage the use of the tongue by making walking slower! 5/5 for graphics and gameplay, but it could be a bit longer, even with the bonus levels.
Eh, not a great game. I know it's an auto-running game, but there should at least be options to improve traits (archer's accuracy, to name one in particular).
Like @thelogical ghost said, this has all the elements I would usually find attractive in a game, but I had to stop playing during the first battle because the UI was just too frustrating. It's a simple enough interface, so why is it so hard to use?
