When you've won, you should have spent exactly 30 points, so go to your magic master and get Higher Level Magic "LA". Cave until Month 2 when you'll have another encounter. Put 2 points into H and 1 point into L attack and accept the Messenger's Challenge. The same "Twice Attack/Defend" tactic will win the day, your choice whether to Finish Him! * Your victory should leave you with 6 Skill Points, make L Attack 10, then put 1 point each into HA and LA (each costs 2), and use your remaining 1 point to get Clan Skill "S". Cave until month 6 - Saying yes costs you some evil rep, but gets you a bonus item, so may as well, you'll now have 210 Mana. Cave more, you'll get an encounter in month 10 - don't fret, you cannot win, and even if you did, you'd gain nothing and die anyway.

Kho's autowin tactic for the Rising Star badge: 1: Be a Chaos Desert Mage. At 12 months (pure mana cave job): Put your points 6 into each Attack Bolt (High and Low), make your Health 50, your Mana 150, and go to your Clan's Magic Master and get the "Twice" clan skill. Leave 1 point spare, put it into H or L Attack, your choice. ** You should pound your clan rival easily enough, getting you 2 points. Get HA from your Clan Magic Master Higher Level Magic. Back to the Mana Cave until Month 8, then put 3 points into Base damage, 1 point each into H and L. Meditate once more and you'll get an encounter, put your spare point into your lowest Attack spell (you should have 8 each, and deal 2 damage per by now). You'll face your rival again, keep using Twice (he won't have it yet), on whichever attack spell he uses against you on his turn and use twice to defend when you have to, and you'll easily beat him again (use HA when you can).

I love this game, though I started to feel a little Railroaded into "cackling evil" if I ended up in the Black Robes, rather than just some loyalist enforcer like I was going for. Each mage clan has their own unique style and could easily be made into an unstoppable force (my particular favourite is Poison Water's Para-Poison combo) - and incidentally it's this that makes some people think the AI cheats, it's just using the clan specific moves of your opponents. Hoping to see a sequel to this epicry.

I maxed the Priestess' Righteousness and the Ranger's Plague Arrows and bow skill and proceeded to have him wade right into the middle of enemies, poisoning them, and then raising himself from the dead when they died from poisoning. Far from being a balance problem like some have complained about, the freedom to do crazy things like the immortal Ranger is what makes this game so great.

It took me the longest time to realise that driving into the sides and backs of police cars doesn't damage you, after that little realisation my game experience improved immeasurably. Nice game!

Part of the collision detection I dislike: Bullets brushing the hero's hair injure him. It's like his bounding box is slightly larger than it should be, hitting him with bullets that should go over/past him harmlessly and catches me out every time. Second niggle is the mouse aiming, it's the constant moving of your character relative to the screen makes aim constantly drag downwards, it's like an inbuilt handicap. Third niggle is dash, it disables jump, activates too easily and is downright lethal when you pick it up, I reset and left it for last, I can honestly say the game is easier without. Otherwise, good game. Needs some polish, but definite potential.

Adding the additional direction upgrades actively makes you worse by killing your fire-rate. There's no indication how much damage each of the additional weapons deal, and the balance is poor at best. It has potential to be better, but as is, it's a little subpar compared to other, more polished, shooters.

We're just trying to make a point: Morale here sucks. We're not going to work on building a bar today, and maybe not tomorrow either, until we get some decent amenities around here. That is all.

Mouse control is slightly jerky - forgivable. No keyboard control - Annoying. Redrum bar stopping me from seeing where I am precisely in a bullet hell game - Infuriating. I can see what you've tried to do, but honestly I'd have preferred more freedom in evolution over "Oh, you picked shields? Have fun shooting that peashooter of yours" and "oh, weapon bonuses? Well you'll be firing two peashooters and I don't even know why we gave you mandatory firepower boosts with your non-firing shield balls". 3/5, has potential.

Apparently in Arkandia, all Dungeon Guards must have facial hair.... Including the females. Great game, though I'd prefer to lose the incredibly annoying random skill upgrade feature compared to My Pet Protector's consistent system - if it's really gotta be random, at least make it a "random amount of set exp to get before the next increase" each time rather than putting us at the mercy of <1% chances even with stacked learning gear.

5/5, A truly well-balanced TD game, each unit type has its own niche, and I honestly used all of them (warriors, admittedly, were used less frequently than archers, but still used for their splashtacular features). I'd have liked to see a "final" scenario after beating everything else, if only for closure's sake, and to have a reason to play with the cool toys I'd finally unlocked, possibly an epic 100+ boss map or something... Loved to see archers finally getting some love, they were almost as good at special effects as mages, almost as damaging as warriors, and they have the best speed and range of them all.

Whilst I appreciate that Watcher was previously far and away the best unit in the game and did need slowing down, dropping the speed to 9 is overkill turning it into, almost invariably, the worst. It now fires so slowly and so weakly that it can't fire and kill a single, normal speed, first wave unit which is elementally weak to it. If you position it after another unit, so that it can get a few kills (again, it fires so slowly it cannot hit more than one normal speed unit in three) then whilst it will get the kills needed for its ability, it won't then get any exp from the almost dead enemies in order to get the needed skills to become a meaningful threat later in the stage. Upgrades don't help. Engineers fire faster, deal more, and still can't be counted to handle most waves, because speed is the god-stat. Too bad for my favourite unit I guess.
