just had a thought: if you were stripped of upgrades once you start taking damage, this would ratchet up the difficulty reasonably without having to create uberpowerful enemies
this is an incredibly refreshing take on a tired-out genre. loads of fun and incredibly addictive. i would normally talk about story but obviously this game's premise doesn't require it. the only problem i could think of is difficulty: even though you acquire these incredible weapons in the game, most of the enemies still shoot slow bullets, making even the most intimidating boss fights mere child's play (with the S upgrade, i just dodged and shot randomly everywhere and won) this is nitpicking though, as i'm sure the difficulty ratchets up later on (I played the first three levels). i just couldn't wait out another level for more of a challenge, and its the only reason you don't get a perfect score 4/5
this is a great reinterpretation of CartoonSmart's shooter from their flash tutorial. the premise is creatively captivating, but the execution is a bit lacking for the following reasons:
the presentation is nice although a bit bland. as of right now, the game's difficulty renders it near unplayable because of the obscenely large numbers that appear later in the game. robotrevolution's idea of upgrading to higher numbers is interesting, just like upgrades to guns in standard shooters.
noble effort 3/5
i got FLUKE by mistake! hahaha
this is obviously just a joke game so im not gonna go in-depth like i usually do:
just one thing:
take out the timer!
2/5
i love this game. i think the only things a sequel could benefit from are:
-faster camera movement (feel like im playing a wii shooting game)
-more variety in fish - i thought the twilight expedition would have glowing fish and whatnot
- added scoring such as rarity of fish
- slightly improved presentation - i love the journal menu, because it immerse you in the world, and i wish we saw more of his office and stuff
otherwise a great game! 4/5
the game looks cool and im sure could be very enjoyable if you revamped the controls
im thinking: cursor to aim, mouse to shoot and a keyboard press for bombs
think about it 3/5
this is a great concept and the mechanics of moving around the box feel natural.
but... the character slides a lot (I know this is normally a good thing, but not to that extreme) and there seems to be something missing here, i think it's the environments that should be more interesting and dynamic, maybe add some more objects that behave differently.
i don't know, good effort though 3/5
the game may not be rigged but you have to admit the majority of this game is based on luck. all the skill in the world won't help if you keep getting 50s and 100s and the PC's getting 1200 three times in a row!
ya i found it thx. although i dont know why but the game doesn't let me combine the rubber band with the flowers or the corsage. and i have enough money for the coins but he says hes not thirsty.
