@Devs, I'd highly recommend opening this game up in chrome and having the console open while it loads... Needless to say I think it may explain any slow loading people have noticed/complained about.
Actually, I think the majority of that might be a kong thing...
I keep getting this damn unity error that's preventing me from obtaining my challenge reward spirits. That error has now eaten up 3 of my challenge attempts because i have to refresh and for whatever reason it's not saving my progression. Gonna get some screen shots if it happens again.
So I got this really strange unity error that forced me to restart after claiming the challenge reward and my spirits didn't save. I went from a really good pull of RNG with a spirit that froze the enemies every 15 seconds to a really crappy pull of RNG that landed me 2 completely useless repeat spirits and an earth spirit i'm never going to use >.>
I guess I can understand the first reset being a full reset on account of it being a newer mechanic and evening the playing field, but damn does it feel bad.
Also, while this game is a lot more polished, your previous game was a lot more interesting to play thanks to being a lot faster to upgrade. The grind on this game really hits right about when you get past the first galaxy, and progress slows to a crawl. As much as I want to see the rest of the game, I just have little to no interest in it, and certainly not nearly enough investment to put any money into it, which seems like a necessity on account of the benefits it provides.
So a game is pay to win if putting money into it provides the player with a benefit that you just can't get through normal gameplay. Whether it's better items, increased resource gain, or something as simple as additional inventory slots when inventory slots are extremely limited.
As far as I've been able to tell, you don't unlock more addon slots through leveling, which means the only way to get more is microtransactions. You also can increase item quality through micro transactions, and you can increase how much exp and money you gain through microtransactions. Basically, all aspects of the game can be improved through microtransactions which firmly puts this game into the area of pay to win.
About the p2w aspect.
What do you expect when you have a free game to play? Do you expect people to work for free or the games appear magically?
I know I have a harsh tone. But the game is single player, buying something not only helps developers, but speeds up the experience. It is not necessary and certainly not mandatory.
Call this pay to win when out of here there are competitive games that really are p2w.
Idle games that live on with people who buy dozen of time skip boost.
I pay particular attention when I put something affordable, because I do not want people to complain about it.
After the level 20 the player unlocks more slots till reach 6 slots at level 30.
Luck and better microchip get better based on your level.
So it is grindy, but it's grindy to make you play the game for a while.
Do you wish all feature unlocked at level 1? No games are this way. No one.
Definitely agree on an RP reset mechanic with all the changes that've been happening. Even if it's just a one time thing, half my points feel like they're useless now.
The leveling nerf hit waay too hard. It's pretty much pointless to keep your levels now. You just want to burn through your resources as fast as possible and rebirth to maximize your RP
So the big draw for ice beam was that it was really great for clearing out low level areas really quickly. It didn't do too terribly much damage, but (mana cost/duration) didn't increase with level which meant it didn't matter what level it was at. Now, however, the rather high level I have ice beam at makes it completely ineffectual for the purpose I was using it for. I can't sustain it for long periods of time and it's duration paired with the over-all slower movespeed has made the spell a pitiful waste of resources.
What I'd like to see is ice beam reverted in part to what it used to be. It doesn't need to have as much damage scaling as it has, but it really does need to keep that efficiency. It's just not worth to upgrade it right now.
The bonus stats from RP counting as just regular stats for AP advancement makes it feel really bad to just upgrade any one stat on it's own. If you get a stat up to 10 then right out the gate it costs you 2 AP to upgrade it any more. It'd be great if RP based bonuses didn't factor into the AP advancement.
goblins are either really broken or the tooltip is terrible. It says their stomping power is 40 clicks but i don't think they even give me 10. I notice the speed is there, so is it 40 clicks over 3 seconds? is the speed how fast they move? Also, their skills are bugged, I can't level up any of the first 3 that are shown.
Can we get some sort of autocast on the monster crafting aetherium forge spell when making emblems? Trying to grind out achievements for making emblems, casting aetherium spells, and upgrading the monster crafting spell, but there's a lot of windows to go through just to do it over and over again.
