The hitbox is just too large to dodge effectively, the key to good bullet hell game is to allow the player to weave in between the bullets. The weapons are too weak in later levels to help either, and there's no moment of invincibility when you get hit to help out either. These combined make it almost impossible to beat.
Hell yeah this game rocks... replaying it again after having beaten it at least twice before... I would love a sequel or at least a mission pack or something! This is too good to be all there is.
It seems to want to be a roguelike but the combination of action and auto-combat doesn't work. Either make it a complete click to move turn based roguelike or give us WASD and click to swing the sword like Zelda. In fact, this would make an outstanding Zelda-style dungeon crawler with that control scheme and a death penalty instead of lose everything. Some players might crave that "hardcore" style but many others will simply give up after a few times of beating their heads against a wall with nothing to show for it. You have to reward players for their accomplishments and not just penalize their failures.
The "Honor" camp that seeks to stop war immediately asks you to kill a bunch of people by sneak attack. Hardly honorable or peaceful, there. I quit the game at that point because I wouldn't do it.
The power on the automatic rifles is way too low, an M16 round should NOT be doing the same amount of damage as a 9mm pistol. If you want a low powered automatic to slot lower down, use some SMGs and make them available early enough they can be useful. The auto rifles are so weak as to be almost useless. I uderstand them not being as powerful as high-caliber sniper rifles, but they need to be stronger than they are to be even remotely useable.
Minor annoyance, the nightstick is almost useless as a weapon and the first part of any stage is a desperate attempt to get a drop, any drop, or die. Maybe let us start with a single lowest end pistol on levels two and three to give us a fighting chance?
I found a bad glitch in mission 4... in the upper left hand quadrant, when you implement the shield special all the enemies and pickups disappear, making it impossible to complete the mission and forcing you to quit --and lose everything you've gained. I can't continue until that's fixed.
I agree about the lag. I have not been able to finish the game yet because by the time I get to the final boss the system is so bogged down it just crashes during his introduction sequence. All I see is a white screen, and eventually I hear some noises and at some point after that the game tells me I'm dead. Like, no really? Of course I'm dead, I can't see or control a bloody thing.
Would love to rate well but the lag is a complete killer.
We've just fixed this bug! Sorry for long time it took... We wanna see only happy players :-)
