There is currently no benefit for calling a wave early, nor is there any benefit for getting the medals, change that (even just a small gold bonus will do) and people will have more incentive to complete them all
Calling waves early results in gold the early you call it in. I'm also looking into making it tick your cooldowns down a bit. As for medal benefits, the game is getting Kong Badges tomorrow and one of them has to deal with Medal Completion!
The instructions were really confusing at first but it's REALLY fun once you get the hang of it. You need prior knowledge of how Minesweeper works first, then the number is the you see is the total level of monsters around that number =D
A lot of mind math of adding and subtracting but afterwards it gets really fun, and when you get high enough level (by getting monsters either your level or below) you can kill all the monsters when you get to level 5 xD click to your hearts content lol!!
Before it fully loaded I caught a glimpse at the sponsor and I quickly muted my laptop without thinking. I'm officially scared of GameArk. If they don't change that intro soon I'll end up hating the game before I even play it =(
I really hate how, even though I can obviously kill off the pirates without getting hurt, I completely lose a ship right from the beginning because they go first
I gave you 5/5 in hopes of you expanding on things, I don't ask for more rooms (since that's more interface than implementation), but more responses and quirky-ness. At the moment there is actually the bare minimum, the switches to activate the end decision, and the main plot. Add some more vocabulary in, stuff that people might type (eg, "what is a red giant?" "what's in the astro box?"), and maybe work on adding a prefix to some vocabulary words (making just "leave" work) also answering simply "yes" doesn't seem to register well either when it comes to turning on the light and other options.
I hope you add in more responses, and make more interactive fiction games ^^ since I love text-based games!
134 on my first try yaaaaaaaaay!!!!
I could not, for the life of me, figure out how many triangles there were somewhere near the end though xD I got all of it wrong so it was just a matter of elimination
omg! My head exploded and I flipped the table when I got the Steve end because it ended on such a cliffhanger!!!! Oh right! Gonna go for all of them now xD I'm hooked
I opened this game up and launched the guy, then I went to brush my teeth, completely not touching the mouse or keyboard at all. SOMEHOW I managed to get past the 4 door and was only moments away from the wallet door o_O
omg Kongregate, why have you made me play 2 horrible games in a row T_T
The keys are NOTICEABLY sticky and I find it increasingly difficult to dodge bullets the more enemies there are on the screen, which is funny cuz that's when you need your controls to work the most. Not only do the directional keys stick but the mouse doesn't register sometimes, so you find yourself constantly moving left while shooting at nothing as 8 enemies shoot at you. Also, it'd be nice to know the difference between the power ups you get before their thrown at you but that's cuz I like to have a choice.
I'm not going to complain about the backtracking bit cuz apparently everyone has already, but my last complaint would be that when you zoom out the screen, make sure there aren't any enemies hiding behind your stat bar, because it's annoying when they get a cheap shot in when I'm trying to dodge a bullet and I think that spot is safe.
Oh I've always wanted an idle RPG!!!! You've made my dream come true ^^ and I love the GUI, it's simple and easily accessible. Thanks a lot for this game!!
