*Ends game* Sound: AAAARRRRRHHHHHG Me: Oh... whoops, did I miss something? Screen: Result: A calm night. Me: Apparently not... what was that scream O.o?
What I don't like about this is the upgrades system- it makes this very grindy and removes a lot of the skill. Personally I feel that competitive games should have currency, but only for decorations. It spoils the game a bit. That said, I have favorited this, because it is the best racing game I can find on kong (since all the others suck) and I want to play more, but I'm only giving it a 3/5.
Does anyone else find the flight a bit glitchy? The first time I played it worked flawlessly, but now it says my mind has taken flight and to hold up, but no matter what I do it all ends up fruitless.
@Kamihead Yeah, they're score. I think you can get a title if you get enough. Probably something like "wealthy". I really don't know, I keep getting the same ones. You can also get into the highscores! *Shiny eyes*
@x Fluttershy x Yeah, probably. Those green eyes are tanks in my games. Green, electrically charged tanks... and me with no armour. Besides, I don't usually encounter them until about floor 6 or 7.
@Coolboom55 Screenshot it and post a bug report. Or you can dance in the fields of items and pretend you're rich. That works too.
You know, I actually came here to defend one of my favourite games. I only just got around to coming here after it was badge of the day, and a lot of BOTD games are often highly disliked. I must say I am pleased to see all these positive comments :D.
@HeavyDuty If you didn't get the badge, screenshot your successful victory (with your name visible somewhere, probably at the top of screen or chat box) then post a missing achievement report. Or just try again if it isn't very hard. That's what the missing achievement reports are for. Badges aren't flawless, so most people will probably encounter that sometime. This applies for all games. If you did get the badge, I have no idea what you're talking about.
I don't see what everyone is complaining about. Granted, it is quite... picky, and its very difficult to cut in the exact angle it demands, but while its not very fun I wouldn't call it horrible, either. I completed the medium badge fairly easily, and though I certainly will not be playing more I don't see how this is as horrible as you all seem to think. 3/5.
The game is OK, with creative gameplay and stuff, but there just isn't enough depth for it to really be fun. I found myself just rushing through the missions doing them as fast as I possibly could for the badge. The disasters system is grindy and annoying, and doesn't pose any challenge or purpose aside from infuriating you to infinity. There isn't anything I actually want to do personally, as most of it tends to be sitting around and building temples. I honestly just don't find it very fun, so I'm giving it a 2/5.
Well... I've discovered all species of gloople now... if you want tips on how to kill certain types of gloople just pm me. I honestly don't want to have to sort out the 1000 letter limit for comments on my 10000 word essay on how to kill every type of gloople in the game, so yeah. Also, read the official tips. This is one of the few games where they actually help.
If you're trying to kill a horror, get very far away from it and make it throw frisbees at you. When it does this, it goes very small and very weak- dodge the frisbees and race them to the horror. If the frisbees get there first the horror goes back to its former state but if you get there first you can kill it and all the frisbees die.
If you wish to spawn these, then for a gray get a gloople to combine with an oozle (try to stay away from the oozle, or else it'll just kill the glooples). Same goes for void eater, except a void eater is a gray and a gloople. Horrors are a bit harder- try and get two biters to lunge into eachother. If only one bites the other then the bitten one just dies, but if their mouths meet then they'll become a horror.
If you're trying to kill a gray, you need to hit it while the tentacle is going away from it- so basically you need to lure it to attack you by moving in front of it. Don't concentrate too hard on it though, or you'll be nabbed from behind by something else. Just stay nearish it and attack when you have spare moments. It won't transform if you're too close.
If you're trying to fight a void eater, don't run away from it, or else it will have total control over you. Instead, run towards it and slash at it right after it transforms. If it shoots a lazer there should be no way you can't kill it, but if it shoots a shockwave, well, if you're lucky you'll get it first. If it simply makes you gravitate towards it you're screwed, as once you're close enough it'll simply shockwave you.
The best I can really say about this game is that it's not actively unenjoyable. After a while you get used to the lack of animation, but there are a few key problems. One is the lack of checkpoints- though I realise this is meant to be a difficult one-life system, it doesn't really work. The controls are good and not at all sticky, although your character tends to slide a lot. It would also be far better with better graphics- maybe spiked walls in a retro theme, or spiny natural vines? Just a thought- the gray blocks don't really work. I give it a 3/5. Not bad for a first game.
Just so you know, buying illegal blue coins in adventures is more reputation-efficient then getting them in the shop. But you probably already knew that.
