Vuelle, that's not as bad as what they did with my comment on Dungeon Crusher: Soul Hunters. I commented on just how evil their PVP mode was on that game. After getting a couple of upvotes, my comment was deleted.
Seriously, Kong? Given how little this game gives you in terms of actions and given how long it takes to restore even a single action AND given how many actions need to be completed in order to go up a single level, much less 50 of them, this week's BOTD should be a Hard badge at minimum, if not Impossible and should therefore NEVER be considered again for BOTD. Also, what's with the ridiculous screen dimensions? What is this, like 10,000p? Even worse than the need to scroll to find what I need to click on is the fact that EVERY SINGLE TIME I click on an action the web site jumps to the very top causing me to have to scroll down again just so I can click on the same thing again! Who on the game dev team thought that that was even remotely close to a good idea?
A couple of troubleshooting steps to try: 1) If you're unable to use Dark Ritual even though you should qualify for it, use the Time Travel Bonus. 2) If you're unable to upgrade science in your clan, especially annoying if you need to do so to complete a daily quest, reload the game. This is getting ridiculous. It's almost like the creators want to drive players away from the game.
OK... I've got Brath the Merciless upgraded to level 800 (upgraded from Common to Uncommon), ALL of my heroes are alive and ALL of my skills are available for use. Can someone please explain to me why Dark Ritual has a padlock in front of it preventing me from using it and how I can correct it? As far as I'm concerned, there should be only 2 restrictions on using Dark Ritual: 1) Brath has been upgraded to level 125, and 2) Brath is alive. Everything else is cow dung.
If you're wondering how to upgrade your hero's rank for the quest, click on the quest in question, then on the question mark and it'll give you icons for all your heroes. Click on any of them and it'll tell you what you need in order to upgrade it. This took me since the BOTD in order to find it. Please upvote so others can see and not be as confused as I was. Thanks in advance.
Seriously? You expect us to accept a TOS a "Privacy" Policy before we play? OK, let's see your Privacy policy. 1) "In the event our site contains links to third-party sites and services, please be aware that those sites and services have their own privacy policies.", ie. "We DO link to third parties who couldn't care less about your privacy." In this case, they connect to SquareSpace at the very least according to Privacy Badger. 2) "When you visit our website, our servers may [ie. will] automatically log the standard data provided by your web browser. It may [ie. will] include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, [blah, blah, everything else they track]", ie. "We're building up a browser profile of you a la Facebook and Google." Sorry, but this is all too steep a price for me for a freaking web game. It just goes to show that your policy's first line, "Your privacy is important to us", is one of the biggest lies in business history. Screw that. I'll skip the BOTD.
Puzzle box: "Number indicators for each button indicate how many of the button's adjacent buttons are correct buttons, excluding diagonals and itself. (e.g. 0 means all buttons adjacent to that button are incorrect). I have a 0 in the corner. No problem. I'll hit the button below it BZT! Sparks start to fly as a wrong button is pressed. Looks like you still have one more try before it blows." Huh? OK, hit the one to the right. "Self destructing in 3..2..1.." I'm sorry, what? If you want people to solve your puzzles, then fix your rules!
Cool game! Definitely needs more levels, though. When I heard Up In My Jam (All of a Sudden) by Kubbi, I half expected Seamus Coughlin to than me for watching FreedomToons. 5/5 Here's hoping this gets badged.
Level 5 hints that you can climb into the box. Wow! It sure would have been nice to have that hint on level 2 where you actually need it to complete the level. Even WITH that hint, 2 was still BY FAR the hardest level in the game to pull off given the ridiculous precision and timing needed for it.
Also, what's with all the ridiculous achievements in this game? I thought Mergest Kingdom was bad, but a daily achievement where you need to collect 2800 of a single colour? Really??? That popup covering the top of the board and the annoying "you haven't moved yet" animation are just icing on the cake. If you're going to have such ridiculously high numbers, then the LEAST you can do is allow the final turn to fully play out when you win instead of interrupting it when you can easily have 70%+ of the spaces still blank when it quits.
Game asks me to continue for 100 coins. Me, seeing I only have 34 coins, clicks the X. Game: "Do you really want to give up? You have collected almost every goal!" "Play on 100 coins" Gee, thanks for the offer, but I still have only 34 coins. Here's a thought, dev. How about not asking people to buy stuff when they can't afford it? I also strongly suggest lengthening the timer before you give hints. Game: "Gee, you haven't made any moves for 0.2 seconds! Wow, you're stupid, player. OK, fine, I guess I'll help you out and give you a hint to possibly the worst move on the entire board and keep annoying you with a distracting animation to break your concentration so you can't find anything better." How about making it at least 10 seconds? 1/2
"Your broser does not support WebGL". Really? How odd. It supported this game just fine 2 hours ago. Why the sudden change? I didn't do any browser updates.
Really? You need to beat 4 floors in order to get the "Easy" badge? This game is so ridiculously unbalanced I'm often thrown into an impossible situation with my first encounter! I'd go so far as to say that this game is even more difficult than Zelda II: The Adventures of Link on the NES. How this programmer expects people to want to play this, much less pay for it on Steam, is completely beyond me. Someone, please make it make sense, because I just don't see it.
Devs, having white text on paint tier 262 (#03ff70) = almost completely unreadable eye bleed. PLEASE change the text on this colour and other similarly light colours to black. Thanks in advance.
Since I didn't get any answers to my questions after 2 days of waiting, against my better judgment I decided to open up the snail race. As it turns out, the answer to all 3 of my questions is YES. YES, you need to unlock the snail race so that you can unlock the crystal mountain to get enough materials to build the dragon palace which unlocks the path you need to unlock the lady eskimo character (whatever her name is... currently working on unlocking her in the main world) so you can get the feathers you need to build the monuments necessary to get the landmark reward. YES, it once again provides an overabundance of eggs in an area that's as cramped as a can of worms Finally, YES, once you start merging them so that everything can be on the map together, POOF! They disappear at the end of the race so as a free player, good luck merging them to anything more than the 4th level (out of 12 available). Devs, PLEASE make the snail race completely optional in any and all future side quests.
OK, I've done 2 prestiges so far. Since then I've had it going for over 11 hours, I'm at colour 187 and I'm STILL at 0 talent points for my mext prestige? What gives? Is this going to be another game like Crush Crush where it's going to take nearly 3 decades to complete or what? At least it's not badged. Knowing the current version of Kongregate, they'd probably make the "Easy" badge something ridiculous like "complete the first gallery".
To those playing/have completed Loong's Temple, is it absolutely necessary to unlock that godawful snail race in order to unlock whatever's needed to get the landmark for this area? If it IS necessary, is it as bad as it is in the original version of Dragonia where it gives a ridiculous overabundance of snail eggs in a super cramped environment which doesn't even allow you enough room to do what you need without those eggs? If the answers to questions 1 and 2 are Yes, then does it still make the eggs and everything you've built up from it disappear when you start building up to a reasonably semi-decent level and you start thinking "maybe it's not so bad after all" once the race ends, only to give you another race when you think "Thank goodness that's over" and start building up other stuff until space gets overly cramped again?
Kongregate, PLEASE change the BOTD to the "complete 5 missions" medium badge. The so-called "easy" badge is literally impossible unless you have a game pad (not everyone does, you know) and even hitting a single tank with a grenade, much less destroying one, is close to impossible given that all the enemy tanks move like they're high on crack. To the devs, instead of forcing people to use a game pad for local co-op play or forcing them to enter a code of a currently active game (where are we supposed to get that from?) how about the game does a search of hosted games for us? After all, this has been done AT LEAST as far back as the original Unreal Tournament which came out in 1998.
Once again I did another accidental purchase of an extra worker for "7 days" when the area is due to collapse on me in less than 1. If you're not willing to allow us to undo accidental purchases, CleverApps, how about AT LEAST prorating the cost of the purchase based on how much time is left in that area? Heck, round up the ruby if you want. With 21-22 hours left in the area, the purchase price should be AT MOST 30 rubies, not 225.
