The scripting in this game can use a little work. When I was merging some swords together the other day, part of the conversation involved their "friend" Mergelot. I thought "Who the freak is Mergelot"? As it turns out, Mergelot is who you meet AFTER you merge the swords together (still not done, BTW.) I also got some chatter from Mergelot when I was merging ice blocks together last night. I think your writing staff should get on this so others don't end up as confused as I did.
Are you certain of that, slowdive? About a week ago, I noticed that things that I thought were merged in Zoovillage were suddenly unmerged. Then when I checked to see where I merged it, it was actually still merged. What the heck? I merged it again, moved it to a new spot and the "unmerged" things reappeared again, even though the new merge was also still complete. If you're getting this effect then congratulations! You somehow unlocked infinite duplication. Luckily at the time I had a flying key and a violet coin on the main works and 2 ruby bags in Zoovillage which I was rapidly able to duplicate up to 61K+ Rubies and over a MILLION coins and keys as well as FINALLY completing the final Halloween cat statue after the event closed and the Bamboo Temple to boot. I was in such a blind panic to merge as much as I could as fast as I could that it didn't even occur to me to do the same thing with the Temple of Alchemy as well. Oh well. Live and learn.
The reason why you haven't been able to complete any of the Halloween stuff, Buzzy, is because this game is literally targetted towards perpetually connected whales (ie. people with more money than sense). As a perpetually connected free player, it STILL took me over 16 hours to complete the so-called "Easy" BOTD from 3 weeks ago. With my latest merge I'm 1 level away from completing the scarecrow (so close and yet so far), but I'm not even remotely close to completing the ghost/pumpkin branches (4 levels away for pumpkin, *5* levels away for ghost) in spite of merging 9+ of each item the vast majority of the time. This kind of crap was never tolerated on Greg's watch. I really miss that guy. Does anyone know what happened to him? This site really needs to bring him back and when he returns he needs to go full Elon Musk on all the DEI hires who are doing their best to ruin this site.
About an hour ago, I accidentially clicked on the 225 rubies for an extra worker for 7 days when I was in the Halloween zone. My first thought: "Oh crap! I didn't want to do that! Oh well. Now at least I've got an extra worker that I can use everywhere." Wrong! The extra worker is ONLY for the Halloween zone which is due to collapse on me on less than a day. Keep your worker. I want my rubies back.
Is there any way to get that witch to give you the potion that you actually need? Seriously. The mummy wants 2 Yellows and 1 red. The Cat wants a bat, 2 blues and a red. I currently have no bats, 26 yellows, 27 blues... and no reds (but she did just give me 2 as I was typing this up, but that'll probably be the last ones that I'll see for more than a day). I'm running out of space to store all the crap that she gives me that I neither want nor need. Seriously, some aspects of this game are as painful as getting a root canal back in the 70's.
Wow... I thought the prices in this game were extortionistic when you had to pay 1400 rubies to get 7000 coins at a time when I'd only earned maybe 800 rubies all together (INCLUDING what I'd spent to get the daily achievements) when I already had a teal coin (7300 coins) plus loads more besides, but now with this new Dragonia adventure the shop includes paying 10 coins to get... ONE COIN?!? Limit FIFTY per shop renewal? You'd have to be out of your freaking mind to go for that even ONCE, much less FIFTY times. Seriously, devs, rework your pricing. This is getting to be beyond ridiculous.
Is there any purpose at all to keeping critters in Zoovillage that have been merged to their maximum level? It's necessary to level them up to max to unlock new areas but once maxed, all they seem to do is eat apples and take up space. I tried selling off a couple of max Hydras half expecting to get an angry PETA style lecture from the overseer (whatever her name is) and to get kicked out of the area, but there wasn't so much as a peep out of her. The fandom page is pretty sparse on details, too, ie. none at all in this case.
So I FINALLY made it to level 8. I started shortly after midnight last night Kongregate time and finished about 12:45am Kongregate time tonight, ie. about 24.5 HOURS to complete this so-called "easy" badge. With about 8 hours for sleep and getting ready in the morning, that's still over 16 HOURS to get this thing. Needless to say, I WON'T be going for the Impossible badge on this one. Kongregate badgers, get bent.
Once again, the current badges at Kongregate prove that they don't game. I've been playing this game for about 14 Hours+ now and I'm STILL not at level 8! Screw this "easy" badge crap. Given the time it takes, this one should be ranked as "Hard" and barred from being BOTD in the future. I pity the poor sods who don't have this badge yet and don't even bother playing the game until badge day because it's "easy". At least it has nice relaxing music or I'd be finding this really stressful right about now.
Sorry, Dev, but not working on Firefox nets this an automatic 1/5 from me. Kongregate, before you make something a BOTD, make sure it works on ALL modern browsers, not just a tiny subset of them.
"As for adding 6000+ UNIQUE items to the Museum? Forget it! I haven't got the time for a ridiculous goal like that. Maybe if I was 2 decades younger I'd be able to complete it by the time I'm as old as I am now, but at my age,, I'd probably be in the grave from old age before I even approach that goal." - me, June 23rd, 2023. Today on reconnecting since Kongregate only allows you to have 1 game active while I have 3 ongoing, I discovered that I'd already donated 6364 unique items and got the badge. Given the overflow, I probably actually had enough to complete it 1-2 days ago. My error was in estimating that EVERY level would be as hard to complete as level 10. yes, you need just as much to elevate a level 1 white item to level 10 as you so a level 10 purple, but by then you're so powerful you can get upwards of 100 material PER TICK on level 1 so you just blast through it. Same with other low levels, but not quite as fast. All I can really say about my previous comment is "oops"...
BTW, to everyone struggling, follow 900_Hornet's instructions and you'll be able to get EVERY badge on this in a single game. Just focus on the knife first and on the rocket launcher only when they don't offer you the knife upgrade. I have level 1 in Health, Duration, Cooldown and Might with nothing else and got 779 coins in a single game. I could have got more but I got sloppy on purpose because I was getting bored. For the record, the Red Andrew Reapers are the ones that throw the MASSIVE scythes at you. The ones that throw the little ones don't count.
I'm sorry, but Guild level 20 is an EASY badge??? Even leaving this game open until it becomes the BOTD on what is it, Saturday? I probably won't get even remotely close to that. Who sets these badges? Do they even game?
If you're trying to beat The Goblin King, I used Neve, Beorn, Alok and Grim ALL with their MAXIMUM skill level with ALL level 9 equipment at +10. Oh yeah, you also need AT LEAST a level 9 Power Trinket on ALL of them. Seriously, TheCongressman, this is getting to be over the top ridiculous. As for adding 6000+ UNIQUE items to the Museum? Forget it! I haven't got the time for a ridiculous goal like that. Maybe if I was 2 decades younger I'd be able to complete it by the time I'm as old as I am now, but at my age,, I'd probably be in the grave from old age before I even approach that goal.
OK, found it. Apparently you need to click on one of the triangles with the ! in them. I tried clicking on one of them in some area yesterday before posting my message and it gave me some error message like "Sorry, but you're not powerful enough to enter this area" so I logically assumed that ALL such areas were too powerful for me which is not the case. If anyone's feeling the same frustration I did, click on, for example, The Marsh in Lakeview and click on Explore in any unlocked area to have a chance of encountering a puzzle. BOTD, here I come...
Sorry, RIP, but telling me that I find puzzles in most places is completely useless. HOW do I find puzzles in most places? I currently have Junkton, Emerald City, Phoenix, Metreon, Oceana and Lakeview unlocked. Pick one of these that I can access puzzles from (please specify which you're choosing) and give me a walkthrough on what I need to click on to get a chance of encountering a puzzle. Thanks in advance.
OK, I've got 2 days left to solve 100 puzzles of which I've apparently done 32 so far. I haven't played this game in years, when it only had 4 badges, so I've long since forgotten how to do anything in this game. Apparently you solve puzzles by finding them in the wilderness? OK, great. All I need to do is go into the wilderness and WHAT the? There's nothing ANYWHERE that I can find that says "Wilderness". Where do I find it and how do I enter it? Once I'm there, what do I need to do to find these puzzles to solve? Thanks in advance for any help.
So now you've got a pet that'll train itself, right? WRONG! The first one nets you 0.24 or a pet and no matter how many pets you collect it NEVER trains itself, at least before you get your badge, so 6) repeat steps 3-5 until you get the pet level up to 5, somewhere between 30 and 50 times easy, perhaps more. Oh yeah, the shop only carries 20 nets at a time. Once you buy them all, you need to wait 10 minutes for the shop to restock... 1 net. Don't worry, though, you can use Nitro to double the game speed. You can also get 100 gold for each material you sell on the Material tab in the Shop. I'm SO glad I don't need to worry about this badge any more. (2/2)
Holy crap, that was a pain! OK, as far as I can tell, here's what you NEED to do to get the pet and level it up to 5 for the "easy" badge. 1) Click on Quest, then on the Title tab, complete as many quests as you need to unlock Monster Study 1 and complete it. 2) Click on Global under quests and complete as many quests as needed to unlock the Bestiary, Equipment and Shop tabs. 3) Go to the shop, click on Trap and buy as many nets as you can afford (at most 2 at full gold). 4) Go to Equip and drag your net(s) from Utility Inventory (bottom left) to the 1 available slot in Utility (top right). 5) In Area 1 Level 1, right click on a monster to capture it, wait for the net cooldown timer to complete and repeat. (1/2)
Firefox is now supported (though it runs better on chromium based browsers due to technical reasons).
