Has potential, but needs work. Controls tend to get stuck (e.g. constantly running left or right). Also, the fists left behind by the dead silly giant prevented me from picking up the key he dropped, which was annoying.
The story isn't bad, but the game is excessively pixelated. I imagine you were going for a reference to early King's Quest games or something similar, but this game is distractingly ugly.
I thoroughly enjoyed the RPGs you made a while back and it's nice to see those characters again. Without any real upgrades to provide a sense of improvement and something to work toward, this game does not have much other appeal for me. I'd love to see you make another RPG, though. You do an excellent job of incorporating humor into a fun story.
As usual, great art and addictive collection gameplay. Unfortunately, it also has the usual accumulating lag issue. 1/5 until you fix the lag, but when you do I look forward to playing this game again.
I must be missing something. Is recruiting new units limited to a camp per map with about 8 soldiers in it? I lose more than that fighting my way to the camp.
Hello Krafen. That's about it per map. Look into splitting your archers into multiple stacks to have an advantage over the enemy shooters (and shoot first). Also formations help if you have a warrior/assasin hero.
Please make the Options button available during the tutorial. Not being able to adjust the volume is annoying. Also, pressing the "more info" button when buying the carbon extractor brings up an info window that cannot be closed, preventing placement of the extractor.
Hey Krafen,
We have no plan to enable options during the tutorial, but it does not last long.
As for the More info button, I checked the current build, which will be out tomorrow and it has been fixed.
The combination of clicking to retreat each troop and manually controlling acts of god is annoying. Similarly, clicking to heal miners and monks in town is pointless. The cost is minimal, it is just tedious. The game has potential, but the interface needs work.
Hello Krafen, we are discussing this issue as a team and are deciding on what the steps are best to be taken as the future advances.
