Fun game, except for the lack of non-developer testing. Thus far I have found three levels that are unplayable: 11, 19, and 21. 11 because in order to be able to connect everything one of the linked spheres needs to be unlinked. This cannot be accomplished by the player. 19 because there are only two spheres that CAN connect back to the starting link, but because these are linked at least 1 pair of them will shoot off into space. And there's no way to use any of the others because of the starting link's orientation. And 21 is unplayable because the menu sticks around after you've started the level thus preventing you from interacting with anything and requiring a page refresh.

Continuation: In the map generator, I often found that (because of the minimum size of the territories) the map became too crowded with large maps and regularly with medium ones. You may want to tone down the lake checker... perhaps only to eliminate the lakes that are 1 square large. Personally, I would prefer no lake checker at all - it makes the map more interesting; leaves fewer territories touching, (I would assume) resulting in fewer stalemates needing to be broken by a dragon. Of course, I don't know what effect that would have on in-continent naval warfare. You might want to disable boats entirely on lakes that are smaller than 5 or 6 squares. The reason I'm advocating leaving the lakes in is that it provides more strategic points to hold (because of fewer adjacent territories) and makes the playing field more than a political map of colored nations.

In KoC 3? Hmm. More intelligent AI would be nice, but Renee: Seeing as you've got the highest score on the high scores by almost twice as much as the next highest person, I should think that few AIs that could be created without massive amounts of work could do much against your strategy-tuned mind. As far as my games go, I usually play on normal with 4 AIs. I don't know exactly what traits Renee would like to see in AIs, but I think smarter, but not necessarily more difficult AIs would be good. Given the game mechanics of KoC, that would probably be difficult to do, though. Anyway, I would also like to see more ways to combat in island warfare, as well as an increase in the map grid. I also know from experience that that would be difficult because you've got to resize the graphics of all of the units, and all of that stuff.

Fantastic game! Some levels are insanely challenging, particularly UFO and the last level. The last level isn't that bad, though, if you've got a quick trigger finger and lots of time.

All you've got here is a flashy, clunky bare bones game. Why can't I zoom out and actually be able to see something? And furthermore, why is the radar so small if I'm constantly relying on it? And why can't I see my shots on the radar like the game says I should be able to? Why can't I slow down? Why do I often find myself dieing? Because of all of the aforementioned problems. Seriously, this is pretty much the game equivalent of a skeleton crew.

Why does the game auto-buy potions when all that happens when there's absolutely no chance of survival (1/2 health bar, 4 gold no potions) is that he blocks? ... ... ... kinda defeats the point of having AI if all it does is waste money...

And I forgot: If you choose to attack another AI during another players attack stage, it adds 1 to the attacker's favor and subtracts 2 from the defenders favor. And about the 1 favor subtracted per unit etc. in territory when attacking, that would make it not be too big of a deal when a border territory is attacked but scale the negativity of an attack upwards the further into the heart of the nation the attacker gets. Also, in case you hadn't already guessed, 200 would be completely liking the player and 0 would be completely disliking the player.

As far as the AIs being more offensive against players that have not been nice to them, I think that it would be a good idea to include the choice made in the allies option (help attack, help defend or neutral) during attack rounds into the like/dislike calculation. Perhaps you could have favor on a 0-200 scale where all the AIs start at 100 (completely neutral) towards everyone else. Every time you successfully trade with an AI, it adds 1 to the favor scale. Every time you defend an AI during an attack, it adds 3 to the defender's favor but subtracts 1 from the attacker's favor. If you attack an AI, it subtracts 1 favor for every unit, resource, city & boat in the defending territory from their favor. Then favor would simply be added as an absolute value (distance, either + or -, from 100) probability percentage to their likelihood to do an action that would benefit/detriment that nation.

I like how ale00 declared that he was first just as he himself declares that this game is pointless. That's like a billionare going to a garbage dump, finding an unopened soda can and then throwing a billion dollar bash because of his find.

This game has been around for years. Seeing as how you joined Kongregate 6 days ago... You're most certainly not the owner of this game. I assume that you realize that you could be sued by InXile Entertainment for many thousands of dollars for a copyright breach? In any case, you're either extremely ignorant or a bot.

Continuation: I just played 5 short 4 player (1 human, 3 computers) games and every single time someone was attacked the AIs all chose defend on the allies menu for attacking, even when they would obviously benefit from it. || On the plus side, I really like that boats are now color-coded.

Another few bugs: Every once in a while when starting a map that I have made in the map editor, all of the AIs choose one territory and then stop choosing. The game still allows me to choose the maximum per player, but the unclaimed territories act as a separate nation who cannot do anything. || This may be related to the late king copying bug but I was playing a three player map, red was almost defeated and it was me against yellow. Yellow attacked one of my territories next to red with a boat and took a horse, weapon & king but none of the pieces moved to the captured territory and yellow didn't have any boats to begin with (I double checked, I owned all boats on the map) and then I easily recaptured that territory on my turn.

Great RPG. larger than a lot of the rest on Kongregate, which is nice. I love the cheesy do-it-yourself sound effect at the beginning of battles. Just a few things though: some of the bosses are quite difficult. Especially, say, the vending machine whose only weakness is ignite. Which brings me to my next point: skill balancing. It sounds like when you first get ignite that it'll pwn bosses. The vendor is the only one that it does. And Hydro Smash looks pretty sweet... until you realize that it's damage cap is 11. Skill rebalancing would be very nice, as well as not having to grind your way through character levels. I found no lack in save points except for the desert, where I fought my way to its boss only to be defeated after an epic half-hour struggle. Not knowing it's health, I then had to restart from the beginning of the desert, grinded for an hour, and then had a 20-minute struggle and finally defeated the thing. Once again, rebalancing would be extremely good.

Sometimes there's a bug where if you pause it, all of the towers and enemies stop as usual, except for the normal enemies. If they reach your base, it still counts as lives lost. This is a very annoying bug. Please fix it as soon as possible.

Unoriginal concept and execution, but refreshing because of all of the mouse-based dodgers being made right now. From what I've seen (all the way to level 6) it's a fairly fun game meant for the people who have the perseverance and patience to wait it through. While difficult, it provided a worthwhile challenge for half an hour. From what this seems, this appears to be small project, and for being that, you did well.

Well, as far as the AI goes, I'd say that they're pretty evil. I was playing a 4 player game, and me & the other two AIs killed one AI together, but then one of them got too powerful, so I began to funnel resources to the other. That AI squandered them, and on the last turn before he died, he cast Armageddon on my territory which had all of my special units (including my king) right before I was about to assault the superpower's stockpile. I'd say good job, they're backstabbing ****s.

Needs a lot more cleaning up before it could be considered a fair game. Music and graphics don't match up: old-school-game music and didn't-spend-much-time-making-them-flash graphics really don't really match at all. Change one, I'd say the graphics. Also... umm there's really no easy way to tell you... but the tutorial is totally, entirely, and completely non-existent. And also, it would be really helpful to be able to fire while rotating the ship. And the menu system needs a *major* overhaul. Especially the fact that it doesn't pause the game while the menu is appearing and that the configuration, purchase, and menu graphics are not very helpful and in general non-beneficial to the GUI. Other than that, it looks like this game would have promise if overall things were improved.

So many things about this game are broken, from the concept to the execution to the instructions to the screen and just about everything. this is a game that I could easily see coming out on the Sega Genesis. The only difference is that the resolution is higher than 200x240. And, just in case you weren't paying attention, that was three generation ago.
