On further play, I'd like to point out that there needs to be some more balancing.
The light cannon is pretty much the only choice you can make at the end, since it upgrades quickly enough that it kills everything in one shot. Three of the simul-machine guns don't work as well as one of it.
Balance, plz.
Good game, but it apparently needs a bit more bug-fixin'. Daggers suddenly jump up to Sword level strength at level 9, and given that their power comes from two stats instead of one...
I just attacked one country with a score of four with five countries with a score of four. Every single attack resulted in a big ol' -3 for my countries.
Every. Single. One.
1'd forever.
The last boss can kill you three times in one move, and dodging the attack after damaging it is close enough to impossible as to be indistinguishable. The whole rest of the game is fine, but COME ON.
Everything was fine 'til the game mocked me for not bringing a reverse-fire attack to the boss. Allow me to misquote Yahtzee here:
EXCUSE ME for not possessing the space brain necessary to know that I'd need this functionality this one time and never again!
Okay, what the hell. The game itself isn't terrible for a platform shooter, but I just shot a guy twice in the face with a freaking SHOTGUN and he didn't die. Remove the suck, please.
Exactly the kind of game I like, and Wizard is exactly how I like to play: Fast, high damage, low health. Playing as a melee class is nigh-impossible, however, from what I've seen from the warrior; shields don't last long enough for how few shield repairs drop.
If someone who does not suck at video games can lose your game in six seconds or spend those six seconds getting just as far without hitting a button, it's too RNG based. That is all.
Clever puzzle. I like how it shows how few people remember south-by-south-west and other such directions. Other than that, glitchy hit detection makes this less fun.
