A small interface quibble: Whenever I go to the Skills menu, I always click the Kongregate button instead of the Close button, because it's where the Close button is in nearly every other interface that has one. For usability, it's best if similar elements are in similar places whenever they come up in the interface. Other than that and some bugs I've submitted, I enjoy this game in a similar weird, grindy way that I enjoy a Disgaea game.
Alright, I've got to admit: This is actually better than Puzzle Quest in a very, very important way. You have learned the lesson that players DON'T WANT CONTROL TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM. Good job, chief. If you fleshed this out just a bit more, you could sell it on the DS and make like a million dollars.
Shop interface is fairly annoying. Seems like it'd be better if every weapon was available, but the level was random (if even that had to be random). Actual gameplay could be a little more polished, as well. A good shot at a space opera, though dialogue could stand to be a bit more succinct, mostly in the internal monologues.
You must really like watching your jokes go over the heads of the people you're insulting. Strapping in for another round of everyone missing the point and rating this game 555555555555!
Put some polish on it, give it some balance, and call it Cardian 2. And whatever you do, keep the lizard men in lab coats and top hats. For god's sakes, keep them.
