Love the new modes of play, but I think the controls leave a little to be desired. Had to guess at tower hotkeys. Speed? Restart? Not the defining tower game anymore.
Perhaps your secret level based on a horrific American national tragedy wouldn't be quite so offensive if you had named it something other than "Twin Towers Uh Oh." I know you live half the world away and weren't even a teenager when it happened, but for a lot of us here it's still very real and visceral - not something I look forward to encountering in a hidden level of a flash game.
To compete with some of the other fantastic tower games on the site it at least needs hotkeys, if not also a "send next wave" button. Also, did I miss a quit/escape button?
I really enjoy the artful battle interface, but the game itself is too repetitive for me. If you were to add the drawing of special attacks this would be in easy competition with some other community favorites. Nice job.
I have only made it to level three, but so far I'm loving this game. A few comments: (1) The skills don't seem to be hot-keyed to numpad, but that would be helpful. The hot-keying could turn off for spells that cause the buttons to drift. (2) I wish there was a way to reliably continue to see skill hover-help during a battle. (3) In the Tavern we should be able to see the net total effect of all of our items.
I'll share some more feedback as it occurs to me. Good job!
This is one of my favorite game concepts on all of Kongregate. I hope you find the time to expand to include more puzzles and commands.
As a commenter below me mentioned, I do think you could slightly improve the UI - maybe just by allowing the user to select multiple commands to be moved at the same time?
An innovative card system, but a dull card game. I'd recommend keeping the mechanics and ditching the current turn structure for something more interesting.
I love this game! The pieces are so well-balanced against each other that the more intricate remind me more of chess than of other games in this genre.
One of the most attractive Tower Defense games on the site. However, too slow - both in playtime and the between-level slots. Also, a lack of save point and no way to restore health can make the game tedious.
