love your games hyptosis, this is no different, may I suggest doing like a crowd fund thing if it would make it more worth your time to keep making games for us? I know another game series I like almost stopped but then did a crowd fund for future games, even featuring VIP donation bonuses like, get your name in the game or get beta testing privileges. I would happily contribute to your game making :)
I absolutely wish I could play more of this game, in any format, and would happily contribute to a kickstarter type campaign to help fund further installments. Was so sad when it ended :(
Honestly, this was a very fun game, good voice acting, lots of different choices, lots of humor, lots of references and surprising outcomes. Absolutely hope to see more from this developer on this site!
Absolutely spectacular! I love this games series. The atmosphere, the art, the puzzles, all of it blends well to create an entertaining and challenging fever dream! Hope to see more :)
I went back and redid everything according to a video walkthrough just to make sure I didn't miss something... And I didn't, sticky mirror on the bar, know how they are cheating, and at the point where in the walkthrough the player is able to join the card game... I am not. It still says not now. And I have tried twice now... :(
You skipped just one step, don't worry: you only have to bribe Bullock and ask him once again about the players, to find out how Mentzen cheats. :) To be honest, it appears to be the harder 'enigma' in the game XD
okay... I have the sticky mirror on the bar, I have talked to the hooker about how the card players cheat... and it still won't let me join the card game...
You guys make great games. I do wish there were more choices, and therefore story variants, but I understand how complex that can be. Just starting to explore your site. Hope you put more like that on Kong. Also, kickstarter is a great way to make cash for funding. Tell me you'll add more choices (like a couple more than in Nowhere Safe 2) and I am totally willing to pay cash to see it.
Ha ha. Thanks for your support. This game was designed to be more of an introduction, so like Nowhere Safe 1, there aren't a lot of choices. Making money in the industry is tough right now. There is a lot of kickstarter fatigue, so I'm trying to avoid crowdfunding as much as possible. Too many games are out so market saturation is peaking. Actual sales of premium games is still the best way to make money in my experience, but providing free games is a good way to introduce yourself to new customers. I considered Patreon, but it wouldn't work very well for my current system. So, growth has been slow, sometimes steady, and sometimes volatile. Indie life ... Thanks again! Hope that explains things a bit.
With your Mt. Holly reference, I wonder if there are Michiganders on this team, as I am. Overall, I enjoyed this game, despite typos. It was a bit repetitive. I would prefer more of the Hyptosis style storytelling.
No offense, but so far, I am not a fan. All text adventures need options that are reasonable. Why not splint the doctor's leg in the treehouse, why do you not have a better chance of helping the kid when you are talking to him, and so right next to him? These things are important. I would be more lenient if there were art, but a true text-based game needs real choices. Sorry. Hey, I've written better, but my coding not so good, so kudos on that.
Thanks for the feedback! I haven't put much time into this game, and I should. Sorry about the lack of choices, I've been trying to add more in the updates. Thanks for playing :D
Anyone else have this be completely unplayable? I love hyptosis games, and would like to play 1 before playing 2, but on every computer I've tried thus far, this crashes Flashplayer on the first screen.
There are five endings to this game, other than death. Four I could walkthrough, but by the time I had clicked just about everything I was only half paying attention to the replay and I just kind of stumbled upon it. Not being able to duplicate it, I checked other sites which only verify four, but I know I saw that 5th ending. Wish I had taken a screenshot lol.
Too many glitches. Kept having to restart when things vanished from my inventory, like everything vanished after I completed part one... Not starting again.
Interesting concept, like the flow of the game, but I wish a) there was a bit more control in the perception of things (as if you looked at them and had to reply what you were feeling/thinking) because otherwise it feels as if you're at the mercy of another person's viewpoint instead of actually experiencing new ones, but that would be a totally different game I suppose, and b) I agree with those who would like to have a warning of rape content. It is a sensitive issue, one that many have had to deal with, and such content can have nasty effects on those traumatized by it.
Absolutely terrific game, beautiful art, well thought out puzzles and features, fast travel was a great idea. Love the whole world. Most amused I was with the "force" reply at the end of the game, though I did try yoda first :) Can't wait for the next installment! Such an exciting vision of the future to end the game on!
Found fatal flaw. No Kitty Captain ever showed in my game. I have tried to put the glue paper on the web anyway and it just says "I don't want to use this yet." At the point in the game where I need to call in his favor according to walkthrough, but I can't so I can't finish the game.
I like that we not only are friends with a monster, but have the miraculous ability to carry multiple cats (in our sweater? our backpack? they would be attacking us lol) and yet somehow we're afraid to touch a small lizard!
You skipped just one step, don't worry: you only have to bribe Bullock and ask him once again about the players, to find out how Mentzen cheats. :) To be honest, it appears to be the harder 'enigma' in the game XD
