It would be nice if slaughtering enemy units and brutally killing their brave leader had as much effect on lowering their morale as calling them "raven-starvers".
*For those of you who are having trouble: read carefully: A Spore increases in strength at the same rate as a Pulsar-A and even a Predator*. Shocking, right? The difference lies in the rate at which golden-colored "packets" are sent over every tentacle extending from the cell in question. When a packet arrives at a friendly cell, it increases the cell's strength number by 1. When it arrives at an enemy cell, it decreases the enemy cell's strength by 1. Simple, right? When you understand this, you will be able to derive the more important and higher-level strategic concepts yourself. For example, three Pulsars off in a corner do nothing more than three Spores. However, if you draw tentacles between them, then you will have three Predators in no time. Heed my advice. Message me if you need help, although I might not respond soon.

I like it. All in all, it's very nice and a good extension of the old one. I love the addition of the purple AI. But even that doesn't seem to understand the value of connecting friendly cells. After playing the original, I breezed through these new levels. I could have gone for a little more difficulty. 4.5/5 is my personal opinion.
Nevermind. Answer is yes. Kind of cheap that AS2 does that. I would expect more than a good old fashioned bounding box-style thing. Ah, well. It's still very useful.
Does "hitTest()" return "True" if transparent bits from one png image hit transparent pixels on another? I mean, if the bounding boxes touch, but not their colored pixels. Does that make any sense?
To those whose backgrounds don't scroll:
When you first set the background as a symbol, did you move the registration to the top left corner? The center is the default, and it's wrong. Redo the symbolizing but make sure that when you see the 3x3 grid of tiny squares, the top left is black. If not, click it.
When you copied the background image, did you do it right? Make SURE you followed page eight (step 1) very closely. Simply adding another instance of Background doesn't work, for some reason.
Hope this helps!
I forgot to add ActionScript linkage. XD
The problem persisted after I finally added linkage, but then it continued. It worked when I deleted the instance of the Ship and re-added it. Hope this helps! ;)
This is an EXCELLENT example of what I expected to happen when GameStop bought Kongregate. Here is a terrible game being featured, and I bet it was because of some shady backdoor deal where Deblob company paid Kongregate to do it, just for cheap advertising! You have betrayed us, Jim Greer.
+ If you agree...
I saw a lone ship sailing in circles after all the worlds ports were closed. They never were able to make contact with land until the virus had all but killed the world population. But they didn't enter port. They were the smart ones. They were the survivors.
