Shall I name 4 other games that are nearly identical and insist that folks pay to be the biggest bully in the land? 3/5 because it hasn't crashed my browser. I don't think it is particularly fun watching little timers tick down and I am not particularly interested in investing in an online community in yet ANOTHER "civilization" simulation in which the point is to band together in order to figuratively rape, pillage and plunder your neighbors.
4/5 Improvements needed: Being able to move chiefs in battle at least half way down the field, undoing "execute move" AND be able to move each chief individually each day, stating the cap on daily transactions, and ESPECIALLY being able to enter numerical quantities for weapons and resources. Spending 20K gold in one day is far too many mouse clicks.
Farmed 150 gold with a magician... no badge. Farmed +300 with a warrior. No badge. Remembered playing this game and getting quite far and NOT earning the badges. Remembered Sisyphus.
In Shopping Street, there was a natural progression although too much repetition. In Shopping Island, I found the customers and news/music/bench/ice cream areas did not behave as expected, which is the same difficulty I am having with this game. Telling me where the customers are likely to go and how they will or will not interact with stands and benches would be helpful. 3/5
I am stuck on level 13. I've managed to beat the earlier levels through trial and error, decision making based on my experience playing other TDs, and luck. There are simply too many options and not enough guidance in progression with this game. Limiting options for maps can serve to guide the player towards success. I am unable to unlock all the touted tower types midway through the game, and find that the options I DO have open to me are both too broad and too weak for the map I am on. Either provide more guidance or more leeway in the maps. They shouldn't be a repetitive exercise in frustration. There SHOULD be more than one solution to provide players with a variety of ways to win, rather than one extremely narrow solution due to the constraints of small maps, given the sheer variety of towers available.
"Evolve them"? More like unlock more that are in no way customizable by the player. I actually like turn based strategy games, but there isn't enough in this demo to convince me to waste the time, HD space, and energy.
was 4/5, before updates. I *was* a 5 star, then lost my kong cookie probably playing it elsewhere on the same computer. The updates would be fabulous if the game balance remained fairly consistent. Now, there aren't enough TPs accrued to deal with what is thrown at you early on in the game.
A variation of Bingo, this game desparately needs instructions in english. 3/5 for now, but I am hoping to give it a 4/5 or 5/5 when it is adequately explained. The mini-games are currently impossible to understand.
I haven't experienced any problems with this game. I enjoy the genre. I appreciate the balance between the quality of graphics and the devotion of computer resources to the complexity of the gameplay. 5/5 Well done!
It rapidly becomes apparent why this game wasn't released in '87. You can only attack in one direction - to the right. Decent graphics. Pathetic level design. Horrible game play. 1/5
