Rather than an option to turn off skipping floors, how about a "skip limit" setting so we can set how high up we want to allow it to skip? I think what most would use it for is max level - 1 since it seems like skipping to max level creates the problem when you stall on exp gain by missing max-1.
>What is the ghost face that pops up sometimes
It's special debuff which deals random damage to monster every second. I will add hints on every debuff.
Could be quite neat, but lacks content to make the player want to keep going. You need to do a better job of dangling a carrot in front of the player. Also, the +neuron "upgrades" are not. They hurt because of diminishing returns and the way the curves are set up to where you never have an abundance of pulses. Which basically gives the game only 8 real upgrades (5 normal, 3 ascension). Not enough to maintain interest, and notable diminishing returns kick in after about 15 minutes every reset.
You might consider making a note that you can move lines backwards without resetting the level. Took me way too long to figure out that basic mechanic.
Clicking shop too early locks the game. I found no obvious way to close it and go back to the picture. Had to reload. Later on, I could click the other tabs.
Meh. Maybe there's more later on, but I probably won't see it. I played off and on for a day+ and the impression I got was of yet another ad cap clone that brings nothing inventive or particularly well done to the table. The art is okay, but that doesn't make up for the rest.
Hey, LucidCrux. Thank you for trying out the game and sharing your first impression. No pressure whatsoever, but in case you would be interested in what could be cool later on here's my two cents. We love adcap, and this is indeed an idle/incremental game in the style of adcap. But we have many new things to offer: very different layout and theme; once you open the universe (after building the club) an embassy where you can send your leaders into missions to farm for gold, crystals or brain power; chest drops and different balancing. And we are sarcastically funny which some people seem to enjoy :).
Part of my comment was cut out due to markup, I guess. And edit is gone? So repost: Unbalanced Example: A1 =Food:X= (5% pb, 2 dm) | A2 =Science: X= (20% pb, 5 dm) | A3 =Elec: X= (50% pb, 10 dm, 10 prestige) | A4 =Civ Points: X= (75% pb, 20 dm, 25 prestige, 1 elder on restart)
This is pretty good, but the balance needs some adjusting. The difference between ascension 1 and 2 is significant, basically a whole other section of the game, but asc 2-5 are minor steps. If you can do 2, 5 only takes 10-30 minutes more. It needs intermediate steps to make the middle ascensions matter.
As is: A1, (Gate:Expansion) A2, A3, A4, A5
It would ideally be: A1 (Gate) A2 (Gate) A3 etc.
It would also benefit if each tier of ascension offered meaningful differences instead of just minor bumps.
Unbalanced Example: A1 (5% pb, 2 dm) == A2 (20% pb, 5 dm) == A3 (50% pb, 10 dm, 10 prestige) == A4 (75% pb, 20 dm, 25 prestige, 1 elder on restart)
You could also build out the expansion portion with more tiering and difficulty scaling so it is much harder to do a full clear without some ascension buffs to help.
There didn't seem to be any kind of saving, or it has issues. I reloaded and lost prestige. Also, (reposting from reddit) you REALLY need to clarify that prestige is for the next run only, not permanent. I would also consider changing that to make it permanent with smaller bonuses so we can farm. Because if time to level continues ramping as it has been, there is no way I'm ever leaving this open long enough to reach a high level.
Meh. Three big negatives for me right off the bat without much play time: You're forced to play with coal because build amounts are artificially limited. Hydro doesn't have a balanced setting that keeps levels steady. 1/3 of the options are stuck behind a paywall.
If your save disappears, try to reload the page and see if it comes back. This can take a couple tries. You also need to do it before you start playing and overwrite your old save. Please upvote so people see.
Some sort of notification for the chests would be nice. I imagine most people will spend there time on a location screen rather than the map, and so checking for chests becomes a bit annoying. A tiny little icon somewhere on the location screens would be good, it could even fade after a couple seconds or something.
The ex-girlfriend thing has stopped showing up for me. Is there a trigger that needs re-met every time that particular user is active, or does the girlfriend thing stop showing up at some point? (Seems unlikely since it's the only upgrade I can get close to affording right now)
Lots of potential, but balance feels really off. It's starts a bit heavy on clicks, things take off and go really fast, then after you reboot and get the first qubit multipliers the game slams to a crawl. Normal processes become useless compared to users as well, which makes this less idle and more active. The GUI is nice for the most part, but please do something about upgrading. Even with click+hold they are painfully slow, especially after rebooting. With more content or deeper reboots it will only get worse.
It would be nice if you removed the predatory design decision to reset daily rewards after missing a day. You are literally punishing people for not playing every day. Anymore, I find that sort of thing morally disturbing. The addictiveness of these games is bad enough.
This could be a decent minimal incremental, but there are some big issues. 1) The UI is hideous. It is chore to decipher and some useful is no where to be found. Like RP per second, for example. 2) Export factory unlocking is pointless. You have to unlock them all, there are no partial shipments after the first. It might as well be an unlock for all at once. 3) Unskippable cutscenes. If you unlock prestige, let people skip them. 4) Waiting for goo. After a while, you are just stuck waiting for goo with nothing to do. Becomes worse after prestiges. 5) Balance could use work in a lot of places. 6) Too much clicking for upgrades / research. Needs a max/multibuy. Again as an example, you have to research goo like 200-250 times which is just pure clicking.
