I'm kinda spamming a bit, sorry, but no edit button. Anyways. Fresh Prestige: max troop lvl 750. Time to clear quest 21 @200 and run out of things to spend money on? Less than an hour.
Yeah we knew that was going to happen for people who were already really deep into the game, but there wasn't time to address it this week. Next week we're hopefully going to have endless quest levels (or at least...way way way higher).
Yeah, totally broken. I haven't prestiged enough times to unlock everything, but I have no incentive. I just maxed what I can, including lvl200 quest 20, getting bb's per complete no purpose. That's without a bonus, with the x2 and x5 I have for quest 21, it would probably just go faster. :/
To clarify (I wish I could reply): I can unlock 200 levels since the update upped the prestige bonus, but in town it says my max quest level is 100. A display bug, not functional. Also, the lock thing isn't just for quest 1, it's for any unlocked quest with a sold quest before it. Yes, you can just rebuy the previous quest and it works again. I'm sure it's just a minor loading unlock check fix. -- As for the patch itself, it has made the game extremely easy. It took me a day to get close to maxing guys before, and I've just blown by that to in a couple hours getting a few hundred trillion per quest when before it was tens of billions.
To recreate the non-interaction bug, you have to reload. So: But a few areas, sell the first one, then reload. Can't interact with the zone immediately after the sold one but further zones are fine.
Ah, on the first one. Luckily it's a very easy thing to avoid and fix -- you can just rebuild Quest 1. I'll add it to our bug list though, thanks for finding it!
Do you remember what specific steps you did for that? I just tried selling some quests and then could still buy and upgrade further quests before rebuilding the quest I sold.
I'll try back later. Right now, there is very limited content. It's cool while there is new stuff to do and unlock, but just doing endless gets old and very time consuming quickly.
Bugs: This first is game breaking. I rebirthed and now my buildings make way less than they should. The discount guy was active at the time I reset. Hitmarkers now current produce 0 each and only 6 total at 20, despite having 4 cards for them. Normally I would export a save before reset so I can load from it, but since you don't provide that function, I'm basically screwed and have to reset if I want to progress again.
The second is that I also noticed that all the other skill cooldowns don't reset when you rebirth. So if you click 5% perm boost, then reset, you still have to wait the 3ish hours to use it again even if you unlock it way before then.
So, I think I will take a break from this for now and hope those two large bugs are fixed (and hopefully fix past saves) so I don't have to reset and waste two rebirths.
Few quality of life suggestions: Give 1 map for each level automatically, or allow for crafting maps of specified level, so you don't "miss" a level to farm a little if needed. Second, allow an option to jump back to world automatically after clearing a map if repeat is off (maybe repeat off, repeat on, go to world). Third, simple color indication for gear upgrades; something like green when the cost/point surpasses current gear price. Also maybe a tiny rebalance for gear upgrades; noticed it is often better to wait quite a bit after you can actually upgrade to do so. because at only 3-5, lower tier can actually be better or very close to the expensive new upgrade.
It would be really nice if there was better saving. I've crashed a few times and lose a lot of progress. I've seen other unity games that save after upgrade bought as well as ever x seconds. Can you not include this for some reason?
I wanted to like it, but all the different things requiring different mouse controls got frustrating rather quickly. It is also really slow for a shooter, which is good given the controls, but makes the game quite boring.
A lot of the "tons of potions" achievements can be gotten before the druid is even unlocked because you award players with hour long potions for quests before the quest to unlock the druid.
The dog's left eye needs moved, it is sitting in a really weird spot. The font is horrible for the help text and for rapidly changing numbers. The help text should be the same as the menus, and the number text need to be something uniform. The icons for the different things also seem to have odd hitboxes; I have to click around a bit to actually select something. As for the gameplay itself, I wish I could offer better feedback, but I've got nothing right now. It just doesn't feel right at all. Nothing really seems to connect or make you feel like it matters. I got some dogs and a bunch of carrots, then some tomatoes. After that point I had no motivation to continue at all which is really weird for an incremental.
Weapon damage values make absolutely no sense. It is near impossible to compare different weapon types based on the number because the number doesn't represent anything. With flame and laser, you get less than the number very quickly, with the blaster you get more than number.
Also, there is a very steep difficulty spike at around lvl 21 and the wartake boss. It's fine to want to require a bit of grinding, but it should still be on a consistant curve. I went from no grinding to grinding for almost an hour in order to get items that were actually helpful.
Should be fixed in the last update.
