there's no relation between the notes written and the sound played. Missing clefs symbols?
Then I realize I just have to press the buttons in the right sequence, even with button that play repeated notes (second "song") where it shouldn't matter.
I'd like a way to judge my solution for a level: a sort of Par score, or an indication of how many (how few) boxes are required for an optimal solution.
I do not like the new display of names: to me it looks like Edmuses are suspended by elastic strings. What about an option to chose between this or the old style?
Too much grindwork. Having to hit 20 times a regular enemy (not a boss) with a fully upgraded weapon is wrong. It doesn't give me the feeling of destructive elation I look for in a top-down shooter.
Upgrade costs force you to replay past levels, being in it only for the money. Not fun.
I don't think there is much difference between different weapons, though I did not check damage per second to judge correctly.
Also, the heli being the most strong and fast aircraft is far from realistical.
Apart from this less-than-tight mechanics the graphic is quite nice.
danjf: the music played during American )-ball pool is "The entertainer", a rag by Scott Joplin.
If you like this kind of music you shoul be able to locate plenty of this as I suppese it's in the Public Domain now. Just google it.
I loved Jet Set Willy. This game even has the border loading strips as the ZX Spectrum used to. Too much Retrò for many? Sure the difficukty and pixel-perfect jumps are a thing of the past. For some reason (nostalgia?) I like it.
This is more an interactive movie or play than a proper game.
I like your wicked humor,though.
nutcasenightmare: are you really just 14? If this is the case, this thing is a worthy achievement: kudos to you.
