It would be nice to have an indication of monsters in range of the currently selected monster, now you have to add/remove to see whether the stats change.
For expertise, just disable auto upgrades for tier and lucky level. Once you get T5 for the levels you start at upgrade tier level manually. Make sure to stay under level 250 or you'll get slower merges.
