I don't think my guy (now in the graveyard) appreciated my strategy to let the fields lay fallow for a few seasons so that they could regain their fertility very well. :'[
And it'd be neat to have consequences for your actions(mercy/kill), too. Maybe some coins/loot from the crowd if you do what they want you to do, with a hidden reward later in the game if you choose to only mercy or kill up to that point.
I think I like this game, but it needs more direction. An ongoing story or something so I don't feel like I'm pretty much just grinding most of the game. Also, it'd be nice to have some sort of auto-sim button for when you absolutely can no longer lose a fight.
I've played through this game about 4 times now, and it's always great. Nice work! :D I do wonder if it's possible to beat the Phoenix end game dudes without being really cheap, though. :P
Congratulations.
You managed to get that core, you see...
The mineral Core Ore.
You're the hero we all wish we could be!
You made it through The Mineshafts.
Then you grabbed those upgrades in the store!
You used them to drill down.
Then you grabbed the ore and saved us all.
You grabbed the ore and saved us all.
You grabbed the ore and saved us...
Super fun game, and super frustrating sometimes, too, but I played it for hours so I can't complain too much. :D I just wish my coach wouldn't give me such a hard time about missing shots every once in a while. :P
Fun game! I couldn't read a lot of the text you put in due to having to fight when it was up, but that didn't detract too much from the experience. And to meridias561, whenever you switch a weapon, you gain back the credits you spent on power upgrades, so don't worry, buddy. :D
I've liked all the games in this series, but the mini games in this one are a bit too tedious considering the fact that you are probably training more than one duck. The climbing ones, the last one in particular, allows you to play or minutes at a time for only a small payoff in experience and almost always is the mini game that makes me quit playing. Maybe adjust the values for experience gain to speed things up a bit.
5/5'd If this hasn't been mentioned yet, it would be nice to have items in the game that help resist stun. The final battle is really just a competition to see which party can stun the other first.
This may have been mentioned already, but the large circular ships that put out shielding units is kind of cheap sometimes. It will put out the little green shield things within its own shield, making them very difficult to hit since it rarely moves. 5/5'd, though. :D
I agree, we talked about having some kind of notice on what they are. You just have to be sure to hit them when they are spawned. Or... you can use the Sniper and its explosive pierce cannon...
