After sticking through the tutorial, I'll admit I was absolutely obsessed with this game. Maybe I got lucky with picking right ships and getting the right drops, but I enjoyed the perfect mix of grind, with the satisfaction of finally totally dominating every Pirate on the grid including the hideouts. And the music is so hauntingly original! It's so infectious, it plays constantly in my head now...but I don't mind! If one person created this game, this is truly a rare masterpiece. Wish you all the best and hope the Greenlight makes you millions!
Between the music and the soft graphics, even the nuances of the way Sly jumps, such a pleasant, relaxing, tranquil game! And great balance of challenge and fun, without being frustrating or requiring a walk-through. Fantastic work and hope you continue to make many more!
Fantastic tribute to Spy Hunter. I miss my oil, smoke, and rockets...but great job giving us older gamers a reminiscent smile while still creating something fun and unique of your own!
Loved the effects at the end! This is one of the very few games on Kong that I'm replaying from the start, just to try to beat it on the hard difficulty. Fantastic concept, visually pleasing, absolutely awesome game!
I'm stupid, took me way too long to figure this out, but for those like me, you're not trapped in the room, jump to the left side of the tube to get back out....
The top comments here don't deserve their place. As a veteran of the game, here's my response to the constant flow of negative comments. 1) Stop complaining about energy. People whining about energy are usually new and unskilled, and should spend their time at the FREE practice range instead of spending their time whining in the comments (tip: click a gun in your gun room to find the free range). In real life you can't afford the ammo to shoot all day long, and competitions are always limited. On this game you actually CAN practice all day long if you want! Plus, not only do you have the main energy bar, you have the green duel bar too. Read the forum if you can't figure it out (there is a limit of 50 friends). 2) The developers actually do listen. Spend 2s and figure out how to actually contact them directly and they fix things. What they *don't* pay attention to is sniveling Kongregate comments.
Part 2: 3) The game disconnects. It's the internet, get over it. Reload the game before anything important, and don't immediately close the tab/window after anything important. That will solve 99% of your problems. 4) Things aren't too expensive. With multiplayer, you can get money faster than ever before. As a Kong member, if you can't win the MP challenges against all the facebook kids, then go back to #1 and hit the practice range. You can win more than you'd imagine with nothing more than the Bersa and 10-22. And for the noobs, my final piece of advice is to skip MP and get gold stars on the challenges. On most, it'll be easy once you've practiced, and you get a lot of money and XP for it. Check the forum for what it takes to get gold stars. Cue the, "The More You Know" graphic!
Sure wish I could full-screen this one. With headphones it would be pretty immersive with the great sound effects and eerie lighting! Love the game and hope you'll keep making more!!!
@varchoo and iamJerbear9, I just got an exact time with someone else, used more bullets, and won. The theory has always been that maybe the time used for the decision is more precise than what's shown on screen, but there's no way to know. Best bet is to practice so that never happens... :)
And this could sure benefit from having boundaries for the mouse. SO irritating to reload or pause because targets are near the edge! I'd much rather use _one_ keyboard key for a reload (my left hand is bored!). Constructive criticism of course, altogether a fun game! Really appreciate the attention to detail when it comes to the actual reload process.
I like how the KSG holds 12 in the game, but even the in-game description mentions it holds 7*2 (+1, actually). I'm a little surprised they would be able to license guns and then misrepresent them.
To all you people complaining about the energy system, I think the devs were just trying to make the game an accurate representation of the show! The show's contestants aren't the top shots in the world, they're just the ones with the most money to buy their way to the top! :P Although I _was_ hoping when I got to the Jake challenge, that he would just have some French Cries with his Pouty Melt, quit, and go home!
Love the mining/memory/simcity spin, and appreciate there being no rush to make a move so that it's perfect for work breaks. Thanks for an original game that will entertain me for hours and most certainly deserves a 5/5!
