Well it's a try. Movement is way off and I can't shoot straight while bumping ever so slightly on terrain or turning. I'd say back to the drawing board and do something with that concept to make it a game.
Well this isn't much. The shooter thingie is a better showcase of that you can do with the engine. Frankly I'm disappointed. You could at least let the "vehicle" handle a bit more smoothly instead of this strange jerking motion...
I won't lie to you. It's very basic and pretty boring. For a first step it's not bad, but if you got this awesome engine and this is all you come up with, well that's just not gonna cut it.
And one more thing - strafing! An absolute must if this avoider is to be controlled properly :P Turning around based on mouse movement and WASD for different directions would make this game 300% more awesome.
I almost got lost in a forest, I climbed a hill, well I wasn't quite able to hurl myself off a cliff, but hey, this is some interesting terrain to explore and an excellent showcase to what you can do with this engine. Keep up the good work.
It does lag a lot for quite a few people. I think it's mostly one effect for me. When I do things right, the whole thing blinks for a second which pretty much always makes me miss a few of the notes, triggers a snowball effect with the "missed note" sounds and makes the whole thing come crashing down.
Perhaps it's the issues with servers and stuff lately, but the game's just nuts with spikes of lag all over the place making it almost impossible to hit a note properly unless the game really feels generous. Unless I can solve this problem somehow I'm not even attempting the hard. You should think of a low-graphics mode and/or offline version, not unlike SCGMD series.
Now that's a fine christmas gift... Just looking at it gives me the creeps, I just hope the 75 quests are gonna be a short process and there will not ever be a hard badge for this... As if Castaway wasn't enough.
Single player MMO-type rpg? You effin insane? Grinding yourself silly without even the pretence of social interaction? I'd go crawl into a hole and die if I came up with such a devious, harmful, utterly unfun game idea.
