tips for anyone who wants stronger hero's *subject to change* 1. always get single target attacks vs multi target attacks...killing 3 things slowly vs killing each one quickly at a time makes a big difference in surviving and are just bad if you get in a 1v1 fight 2. at the start do not equip anything with haste or precision. since gear score affects monster difficulty anything but force and vigor will get you killed...repeatedly....very quickly....I have no idea when haste and precision are a good idea to add but try to avoid the stats completely at least for a good while 3. the two passive skills I found the most useful are the ninja one which procs quite often and the one where you get stronger as the battle goes on....this makes Vigor an even better stat 4. avoid party wide buffs right away....they never seemed to make a real difference at least what I have seen but otherwise there are much more useful skills around

ok thanks for your responses and I really suggest putting that your gear score determines what difficulty of monster you fight would help a lot.

to clarify on my previous post about difficulty...either change the area to specific lv chunks but do not make it an automatic difficulty jump...I actually had to start fresh since I had horrible equipment drops by the time my guys hit lv 7 so once the next difficulty tier of guys appeared I was getting destroyed constantly...with my new game a found a few powerful pieces quickly so by lv 7 i was well prepared...for a game thats 90% gear dependent a bad string of gear drops can make your game come to almost a complete standstill

Thanks for your feedback! :) Really hearing you, that problem with "wrong" gear aka. haste and precision at the start is really annoying. Right now as a workaround you can equip your starting items again or not wear anything that has haste and precision on it. We have a fix coming up in alpha 5.

difficulty needs to be tweaked...once my guys hit lv 7 suddenly they cannot win a battle...anywhere...

also keep the difficulty at least a bit static in the starting area....I went from killing everything to not being able to win a single fight anywhere once i hit like lv 7....kind of ridiculous

The hero AI is always trying to find suitable fights. I feel you though, sometimes the hero just feels like he is the strongest guy ever and will "go berserk". We want to make him more cautious with every heart he loses in the future.

Great game and I will end up putting a tooooon of time into it but some things 1. The tavern idea is kinda poorly executed...I mean took me 5 days to even know there was more then the melee and range heroes...and really there is not that much of a point to it considering all their stats are the same at least the ones I have been seeing...its more of a kick to the teeth if the hero you want does not show up for days 2. others have said the idle thing my suggestion would be add an option to auto sell blueprints that are below a gear rating you can set and of course make them continue fighting after they deposit their stuff 3.add a Manager lv....experience can be gained from heroes killing and such. and add passive abilities you can raise that affect all heroes such as +% to value of metal resources gathered and for the other ones. +% to heroes stats +% drop rate. +% to gear rating of blueprints found etc...add another lv of customization

Thanks for your feedback! :) For 1), we try to make the heroes different through their skills. In group fights, there should be synergies, especially when you get the buffs (call of X), those affect all friends. 2) Auto selling blueprints is a really nifty idea, continuing to fight is a tough issue. We want to make the idle periods a lot longer, but will probably never go to a 'real' idle game. We want people to log in every now and then. 3) Oh, how many discussions we have had on that issue. Manager levels are really interesting, maybe a point for later.

**** this stupid game...seriously why is this part of the epic quest the screen is stupidly small and is based on luck...yes luck because no matter what skill lv you are a string of lasers in the wrong direction is impossible to dodge. and yes i got the badge doesnt stop this from being stupid

AT LONG LAST we have added some AI customizations in the character menu! Most notably, you can now set your heroes not to flip back to AI mode when exhausting abilities you’ve invoked manually. Skill priorities I am still thinking about how to implement ...

defense seems kinda useless in the stat tier category 10 def = 1 less damage...which considering im taking 600 a hit the big 100 def upgrade does very little

hoping picking something besides the knight as your leader is worth it in the end...because having knight as the leader lets you have increased healing and defense and makes death very rare

bards are the OP class for sure...your progression is through equipment not the small boost lvs give you and once your charisma is in the 50+ range the gold you are getting and the equipment you have is just huge...

the difficulty jump for the end bosses is huuuuge... I had one of each of the final classes with the best equipment available and throughout the entire game with my initial party of 4 I lost once...bit off a bit more then i could chew and then these last bosses are just insane and demolish me. It wouldn't be so bad if I did not basically have to sit around and try to farm some better students and slowly...very slowly...lv them all up and gear them out
