Seems the AOE tower is a bit over powered. put 3 in a corner, upgrade max, add 1 slow tower. repeat in each corner. once done, add nukes. even works on straight line levels. helps to have some EXP purchase bonuses to start the level.
possible bug or just text issue - for the EXP purchases, Grade 4 Lives says 850,000 for 25 lives, but I think it should be 85,000. Always use commas with large numbers and you'll spot errors quicker.
overall great effort. good enough on menu, tutorial, different levels and options. graphics and sound on/off. wish had arrows or WASD to scroll screen though instead of mouse (since conflicts with trying to move troops). nice skill tree and ability to farm.
overall good so far. I see other comments complaining, but maybe those things are fixed now. I like the balance mostly - the first few levels are pretty easy even without upgrades; but then level 9 is darn near impossible. strangely after that, not so difficult again. but everything works - fun graphics, seed up button, different towers (what is water tower useful for though?), upgrade paths. good job.
great first effort. everything works, which is a plus. I find the 1st 30 levels to be just right. after that, starts to get tedious (not enough differences to keep interesting). still, great job, looking forward to next one.
Another fine game. While I agree with some of the minor complaints (targeting, space bar), I think the real issue is balance. Seems that for every level, the 1st few waves are hard – tension, choices to be made, speed counts, etc – and then after that, you just win out. Which is pain because you're holding down the space bar for 20 waves of “yep, my towers just killed everything.” Sure, every now and then you have to upgrade towers and maybe even drop a nuke, but there is no more challenge.
I'm not complaining, and I'm sure it would be hard to design, just thought I'd point it out.
Can get through the 1st 8 levels with 3 stars. Can't complete lvl 9 though. Don't mind the strong monsters or the low upgrades but don't like the locked levels. Tough to see what's beyond lvl 9 to see if it's worth it to try again.
It works, and that's good. All the mechanics are there - multiple towers, upgrades speed up button, different types of enemies. Interesting take on tower physically as well. But overall it seems a bit repetitive without much meaningful choice and is easy. Great effort though.
My God, why is it so effing hard to have game states actually save before and after badges are added?! this happens half the time, so what are some developers doing that the rest aren't? D@mmit.
Is there any thing between levels to upgrade yourself/game, not the in game upgrades? Is there a tech spec screen for the towers and their upgrade paths?
decent effort, but seems a bit buggy. sometimes when I start a level some swordsman start out for me (good), and other times, I have no men and no money to start. the upgrade system is ok, but what it fails to show us is thta the cost of the unit goes up with the upgrade as well. this may be ok, but we need to know that info because you can upgrade yourself out of a way to start due to low funds. if you want to keep that system, then add an upgrade for starting money as well. what i the guard upgrade? how to tell how many men from a tower you have? needs more instructions.
Bug fix thanks :)
